Yahle Landscaping and Sod was founded by Leontine and John Yahle in 1926. They were nomad landscapers whom traveled from state to state landscaping government housing projects. Back then sod was harvested by hand, stacked on a truck and unloaded by hand. Most often cut from a pasture or grass field.
Sod grown from farms was not yet a industry standard. It was not until the 50's our family grew sod near West Milton Ohio. Along with the sod we grew evergreens and shrubs. In the mid 60's Bob Yahle Sr. began operation Yahle Landscaping. The 60's housing boom in Dayton was on at this time. Bob installed landscapes at large condo and housing developments in dayton ohio.

I paid this company to a job and got taken advantage of. I'm and older woman on my own and paid the job in full! New landscaping was installed by placing plastic over the old rather than digging it up, the old plants grew up through the plastic and the new plants died and didn't bloom!! I called and called and was promised several times that they would come out and make it right - Lies! Never showed or replaced the plants the last time he called me ( Late July 2020) to say he would be out in a few days he told me that normally he charges for the replacement plants but he wouldn&apos

Last year he leveled and graded an area for my outdoor cleaning station with laundry sink. I did the job myself with patio stone and artificial paver base and it came out great. Couldn’t have done it without his prep work. He even threw in some limestone border that he just happened to have on hand. I can’t say enough good things about this guy. Very reasonable price too. Will be calling him soon for a similar job.

Rob did my son’s yard after his house was finished and did such a good job I decided to use him as well. After our house was finished we contacted Rob. He is on the process of taking our rocky poorly graded yard to something we can be proud of. I would recommend Rob to anyone regardless of the size of the job

I am a US Air Force veteran and senior citizen. I gave Mr. Yahle money to do landscaping in my backyard over a year ago. It's still ''in process''. He repeatedly promises to stop by and never does. He has promised a refund, check several times. He says things like I'll bring the check by today, you should get it in the mail today, you didn't get it? huh?....Never do get a check or services. . He is the definition of a deadbeat contractor. Stay Away! Avoid the headache!

Needed to turn a hard-pack mudpit into a yard after putting up a fence. The previous 'yard' was a disaster: stumps, rocks, vines, etc. Contacted Yahle and Sons regrading hydro-seeding and was able to speak to the owner himself. After explaining my situation, he advised me to go with a different approach (dry seeding), especially considering the size of my yard, and suggested specific grasses to help with wear and tear due to my dogs,
Today, approx 2 months later, my two large dogs and I have thick grass where there was only rock and dirt.
