This company and the owner are the worst. They gave a quote that was reasonable. But then they started to do the work and realized it was more than they thought. So midway they stopped. Left everything and then was aggressive to collect for cutting my down a tree. This guy has no customer service capability. Never use this company!!!!!! Big mistake!!!!!

I see that there's mixed reviews on Manzano Landscaping and that is why I feel inclined to post my extremely positive review. I was on an incredibly tight schedule and called probably 9 other Sod installers in the Woodbridge area. A majority quoted me really large amounts and I believe upcharged because of my quick turn around, and 2 of them were probably the cockiest and entitled people I have ever met in my life. When I reached Alex I it was a breath of fresh air. He was willing to take care of my Sod installation within a couple of days of me asking him to come and install. He wasn&apos

Set up an appointment with Alex to get an estimate and he never showed up. While waiting for him he said he is close by but had no directions... while on the phone I have directions from where he said he was (which would have been two streets away) but he never arrived.
I had seen positive reviews on Angies list and Thumbtack so thought I would give him a try but after waiting for an hour I left and have not heard back from him. Couldn't leave a message either because his inbox is full. If this unreliable for an estimate appointment I would not trust him for work.

Used Manzano landscaping for a season. We have our house and a rental property -- so he had 2 single family homes with one client. It did not help the service. Had to call to remind him to come for both homes. Billing was never right and I had to keep emailing and calling to even get the right bill. When they did mow, the work was sloppy, leaving cut grass on the lawn. Asked that he weed and generally clean-up the yard when they mowed. I agreed to pay more. It never happened. In the end, the hassle was not worth it and I changed companies.

We hired Alex to perform some basic yard clean-up, including weeding; removal of a hedge, shrubs, a couple small trees, and a chain-link fence; and addition of topsoil and seed to the lawn. Alex offered a competitive price, but his service and lack of work ethic were unacceptable. I can't say we were blown off, but you are definitely on his schedule. We exchanged a few emails on price (that is the primary means to contact them) and then he mentioned something about not being sure exactly when they could make it out to do the job. I wanted to be here to show him where problem areas were in the yard.
Long story short we heard nothing for a few days then BOOM - came home from work one day and the job was done. I give them kudos for doing a decent job for a good price, but it is definitely not

I contacted them to have some relatively minor landscaping work done--basically replacing a row of dead bushes along a back fence row left by a previous owner. We had just completed $60k of landscaping on the front of the house 4 weeks previously. I told him EXACTLY what I wanted the quote on. We contracted with Manzano's Landscaping for a raised bed with two trees. The work went well, and the workers came on time and did an adequate job. Rather then remove the grass, they skimmed it with shovels and then used a weed whacker to cut it down further. With several inches of topsoil over the remaining sod it should be fine and not sprout through. We were told the trees were guaranteed for a year as long as we took care of them. My first experience with Manzano Landscaping I had the flower beds cleaned, bushes trimmed and mulch put in, yard looked good.
