I had no idea they used 3rd party vendors now I do.
Two untrained young adults showed up to do mold remediation Yesterday.....they were unsupervised , unlicensed , and loaded moldy objects from a water damage scene, into a storage pod where the rest of my uncontaminated household items and furniture were to be stored as well.There is a specific protocol from NYS regarding mold remediation and had to pay $400 to have a NYS licenced person come out last week and do an inspection and put together a remediation plan. ( Article 32.) That was in turn sent to FIRST

While in the process of selling our home last fall, during the inspection, they found mold in the attic. We called First Response because we had used them about five years earlier for a basement fire remediation and had been very pleased. They came quickly to assess the damage before sending the certified mold inspector to confirm. In addition to remediating the identified section, they treated the entire attic. Cole and his staff showed up the morning of a sewage pipe breaking on the first floor of our home which ran down into our finished basement. What a mess! I didn’t know where to put my hands first! Cole came highly recommended by a close friend and from the moment he stepped in the door, I knew I was in the right hands! He and his team got to work immediately! They were extremely courteous and professional! They were here for several days, cleaning, disinfecting, demo’ing the damaged ceiling, walls and floors. Working continuously until the job was done.
