Dan's Moving and Storage is a family-owned business providing local moving and self-storage services to the greater WNY area for over 99 years. It was founded in Dunkirk, NY by Dan Lutz when he began transporting theatrical trunks between the Union Railroad Station and various hotels, vaudeville houses, and the historic Nelson Opera House.

The price was right so we confirmed to use them to load the truck. Moving day they were to be there at 9am. We had to call about four times. They did not show up until 4pm. They did work hard but I wished they had showed up on time, because that messed up our driving plans. They also packed 2 propane tanks in the Penske truck, I didn't know that until the unpacking people told us about it. Very dangerous.

Not worth it for college students. It said $5 a month for furniture and they charged me $10 for my mini fridge for no apparent reason. I also never received my bill in the mail and they didn’t care about their screw up and still charged me a $35 late fee. I understand late is late but I was never contacted or received a bill so it feels like I was wronged. They’re obviously making a ton of money off of kids, so I don’t recommend at all. For $138 I would’ve just thrown the fridge out and moved on with my life.

Everyone at this company is wonderful and easy to work with. They went above and beyond to try and accommodate me (two moves-- one local and another across the state, plus temp storage in between) with not much notice during their busy season. I was treated very fairly and feel that I got excellent value for my money. Office staff, owner, movers-- all were polite, responsive, and courteous. Highly recommended!

I really wish this site would have let me say zero stars because that's how unhappy I am with this business. First of all I explained THREE times to the three different movers exactly what was to be moved. How hard is it to remember three tall shelves, two beds and four dressers???? They took things that weren't even packed up. Secondly, they left one of the bedrooms in a complete disaster. Stuff thrown everywhere. I would love to post the pictures I took of the room. It is indescribable! Thirdly, the agreed number of guys to come here was three. When they were done and giving the bill, which is
