Artist and designer Dard Hunter (1883 - 1966) was perhaps best known for his contributions to the work of papermaking, authoring 20 books on the subject (eight of which were printed by hand). His Mountain House Press is the inspiration behind Dard Hunter Studios, a business venture dedicated to raising the awareness of the contributions made by Dard Hunter throughout his lifetime.

Dard Hunter uses only quarter sawn white oak because of its durability and the beautiful grain patterns. Each board is hand selected to ensure that your frame will possess a unique and naturally beautiful ray flake pattern.
