Bella Designs was founded in 2002, after designer Diane Swenson found her client base growing beyond what she could service as a part-time job.

Without making any other design changes, window treatments can transform the look of any room. From simple to elaborate, your options can be overwhelming-but we simplify the process and ensure your needs with respect to HALP (heat, aesthetics, light and privacy) are met. As a certified feng shui designer, we can incorporate feng shui principles into your design project or conduct feng shui reviews.
Communication is vital when it comes to the design process, so at Bella Designs, we ensure that you understand upfront what you should expect as we move forward. We maintain frequent contact during all phases of your project; we are available to answer any questions that might come up and provide guidance on-demand as required.
We lightened up and updated what was a dark bathroom to create a space that gives off a spa-like feeling. We updated this home with contemporary furnishings and accessories and replaced wood blinds with modern roller shades. We worked with a blank canvas, furnishing and accessorizing this home to the client's taste before they moved in.
I never thought I'd employ the services of an interior designer, but after just about completing the look of my modern condo, I was stumped when it came to window treatments. Diane suggested some great alternatives and then provided me with wonderful fabrics from which to choose. The installer she recommended did a great job, too.

I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find an Interior Designer for my small project. I'm so glad I found Diane. She was very easy to work with and so professional. We spoke about my small bedroom project on the phone. When we meet in person, Diane came prepared. She had colors, fabric samples, great ideas. It was a very productive meeting. Although it was a small project, Diane kept me updated every step of the way. She gave us a beautiful, finished project. We are very happy with the results.

We have never used a designer before and were clueless on the process! After searching on line we found Diane Swenson of Bella Designs. We called for a phone consultation and got a lot of questions answered. We were both impressed with the way Diane had a collaborative approach, she really listened to what we thought we wanted and offered up advice and suggestions. The next step Diane came to our home to get a look at the master bathroom to be remodeled and to also see some of the other design choices we had throughout our house. Diane was great, she really understood what we were looking for

Diane was very sweet and helpful. She helped me select blinds for 32 windows, through a company that she represents. She referred me to a great furniture store where she helped me select numerous pieces. We did not jive when it came to other accessories and we sorted of parted ways. but she helped alot and I would refer her to anyone needing help in this area. My place looks awesome and I couldn't have done it without her.

Diane is great to collaborate with! I was stressing over decorating my recently remodeled home, and she came in and helped me get on track! Her laid back style put me at ease immediately, and we came up with some fantastic ideas to make the rooms "pop!" At the end of our meeting, I had a plan for moving forward, and I'm looking forward to receiving window treatment samples in the mail! I highly recommend Diane & Bella Designs!

Diane is worth her weight in gold. I'm a do-it-yourself'r through and through, and I thought I was doing great until I hit a wall in designing my condo's open floor plan. I never hired a designer before, so I didn't quite know what to expect, but I did know that I needed help before spending any more of my precious time and energy in my place. So responsive and quick, Diane actually answered her phone when I called and took the time talking me through my issue. Enjoyed meeting with Diane about our home reno project. She brought fresh perspective and ideas we had not considered to accommodate our rambunctious family and frequent neighborhood get togethers. Diane offered ways to incorporate the elements of Feng Shui into our home to provide a more fluid and peaceful space. She also has a Houzz page that we can share our ideas with her to give her a better feel to our thoughts and ideas about our rooms still in a state of flux. I was desperately for interior design to help me with pick the right color and organized the empty space for my massage studio. I emailed about 10 of interior design in SD. 3-4 of them got back to me so we started to talk. Diane was out standing one when I first find out about pricing and the process. She was helpful kind and negotiable lol.
My husband was going to pick orange and blue to be our main color since we have blue gray carpet.
When Diane was here. She suggested the Coe that we never know it was existed. It blowed our mine away when it finish. For 2 hrs of her work she covered it all

I highly recommend Diane. She has been helping me decorate my new home, and I have been very pleased with her work. She is personable, easy to work with, and always professional. She provided helpful recommendations about paint color, furniture (sizing, style, color, positioning), and accessories that were consistent with my aesthetic and budget. Diane chose beautiful colors for the interior of my home, for which I regularly get compliments. Diane's design guidance has been invaluable, and I would definitely work with her again.
