This moving company was reliable and honest. They spent time to review all items to be moved and gave me a legitimate estimate. They did not low ball the estimated just to get my business like most other movers. The men who moved my items were very hard-working and efficient. They packed the items well and nothing was broken, scratched or dented. I definitely recommend this moving company.

The packers, people who picked up our stuff to be moved and the people who delivered our stuff were amazing. Very professional, polite, followed my sometimes quirky requests, and made my moving experience great. The only reason I gave them a 4 is I had a little hiccup and needed some questions answered and could not get a return call. Other than that I would strongly recommend them.

Overall, what you need to know is that JK Moving is a premium moving service providing top of the line service at a premium price. They pay their people well. They treat their people well and they get very good people working for them. It took me only twenty mijutes to book a move with them. I can also highly recommend JK Moving. I worked with Joe Pence on both moves from VA to MA and again from VA to TN. He was thorough and spot on with his assessment. He is very professional and responds to emails and texts immediately. They have a video assessment of your items that is catalogued and pictures in a professional packet that you receive. From the first phone contact through the final delivery, JK customer service was ALWAYS in contact and available- rarely a wait on hold- always prompt and informed. I was just completely moved in under 2 hours! I have used JK twice now. I have nothing but great things to say. This second time I was lucky enough to have the most amazing sales rep named Jeff De Iudicibus who is technically in NC but responded to my online inquiry for my move in VA. The man was kind, compassionate and friendly and exactly the kind of person any company would want working for them. He won me over. We had a real connection. We used JK for an interstate move. At the destination, the crew said, "Nice couch, it's never gonna fit up those stairs. Get a sectional." They were so sure that they didn't try. They left the couch in our garage. Within a few days, I hired Two Men and a Truck, and the three of us got the couch up the stairs in about five minutes. I would give zero stars if I could. I am currently sitting through one of the worst moving experiences of my life (and there have been alot). I am in hour 10 of them loading a 4 bedroom house in Darnestown on their truck, with several hours left to go. With a contract that was to include loading and delivering within 1 day will now be loading on Friday and delivering on Sunday due to their error. We hired JK Moving. Beware - they do not stand behind their word! We hired for a local move. We're a military family and moved a ton - so a solid judge of moving companies having moved 19 times in the last 30 years. We thought we were hiring a quality moving company. We have used JK moving twice. This week a team came to pack our house and move our belongings to storage at the JK warehouse.
The estimator, over estimated the cost of the project by several thousand dollars. We were never asked about crates for valuable objects, we needed 3 crates for oil paintings. The estimator ordered 9 crates, we were charged for 6 crates we never used. When I spoke with the moving coordinator, I was informed that was my problem. WOW! JK Moving Services was impressive. I can't say I am a huge fan of moving but Ricky Stewart and the JK Team were exceptional.
Super communicative. Extremely knowledgeable. Transparent. Ricky also made sure we thought through backup plans in case our closings were delayed and provided professional advice all along the way.
The team was also punctual, respectful and fast. I work in the homebuilding industry and would recommend Ricky and his team to any one of my friends and/or family members.
We highly recommend.

The estimate person was great! All but one packers/loaders were very good. Delivery however, was a disaster. They insisted to come late in the afternoon and the crew for delivery was rude and obnoxious. They damaged both my beds and dressers and nightstand. Despite my talking with operations office and customer service numerous times, nothing was resolved. I being a conscientious person did not submit claim for replacement but only for repairs, they still deducted the $500 claiming that was my deductible! What they paid me would not even buy one railing of my Japanese platform bed. Terrible will

I should have reviewed them before and just now seeing the 3 stars or whatever is super surprising cause I have personally used JK Moving at least 4 times if not more...and every time I call up, speak to Wendy (I believe is her name) and they are amazing! They are fast, efficient, thorough and surprisingly cost effective for their level of professionalism. My wife and I used this company to store and move our furniture recently. The main office was unresponsive and the app did not work.
They are very expensive and they charged us for 7 pallets instead of the 6 we actually used. Although we finally got a refund for that, our belongings took a beating.
We paid an extra $250 for a crate to move our 65" TV, but it arrived with a 2" gash across the screen. Our expensive wooden furniture had dings all over it, and they broke a bedroom window.
Do not contract with this company or you will regret it.

JK promised to move me into a house April 1st, when the previous tenant was moving out. They got here early and demanded that I rent a storage unit. I had to pay a second moving company and the storage unit to move me at the correct date. No compensation was provided. I had purchased insurance and received $200 towards a completely shredded mattress. I am looking at taking them to small claims court, but they are out of state.

I needed to move my father's belongings out of his assisted living during Covid. It was stressful. JK was thoughtful, organized, careful and kind. They needed to make two stops. Everything got where it needed to go safely. There was lots of follow through on all levels. We got free used boxes and a $35 coupon for tape and packing materials.
