Brian came and did the initial estimate. For some reason we trusted him, and as it turned out, had every reason to. We hired Stanley Gelber & sons to install a new Central A/C system. They gave us a start date a month out( summer is busy season)- and stuck to it. The crew appeared at 9am as promised. The crew works amazingly well as a team. I have to say the project that I was dreading, and kept putting off, was completed painlessly. Of course, our quality of life has improved 110%. I would highly recommend this firm.

We had them install ductless units on our first floor and central on the second. Their crews were neat, polite, and meticulous. Jordan was a pleasure to deal with. There was a small out of box issue with one of the registers and they returned and fixed it immediately. We couldn’t be happier with them and we highly recommend them.

I just happened to read the ridiculous response to my review and have to clarify. No, they did not offer me substantial compensation for the removed humidification unit. They offered only to pay me back for the unit itself if I would remove my review. I said no, that I would rather people know about them than recoup that expense. And no, I did not send threatening letters.

Called on hot Friday afternoon. Central Air not working. Mechanic came same time and concluded new motor needed. Spoke to Susan in office. Informed her I have health issues and was grateful that a mechanic was scheduled for the next day. It is 3 o’clock on Saturday and the house is cooling down.

I can’t say enough about how great the staff was. Our AC was down and they were booked. Once the service representative heard that we have a 3 week old baby, she made sure that someone was able to get to our house that day. I wish I could remember her name (she just had a grandchild on May 5th), she was wonderful.
The technician, Marco was equally great. He was able to determine the issue and explained everything in detail that was easy to understand. Not to mention he got it up and running very quickly.

I just had 6 ductless units installed. I will be using them for cooling so I can’t comment on the units as of yet. I would like to comment on the installers. I have never had a nicer group of men working in my home. They were very polite, professional, considerate and clean about the work they were doing. They explained the equipment before they left, I can only assume they are happy with the company they work for. Thank you Gelber family for having the best employees.

REALLY ITS MINUS 1. This is my second review and I haven't seen them since May 2018. We are having work done in the house and are hiring a contractor that does insulation. He went up to our attic & He noticed all of our insulation was moved and pushed over our entire attic to accommodate the air handler that they installed. They never put the insulation back where it belonged. I cannot believe that anyone would ever recommend this company. We paid a fortune for this installation. And they didn't even remove piping from my old unit. It's still protruding from the house.I&apos

Called them when my Carrier HVAC system was not providing heat. They said they would arrive before 1 pm. They arrived before 9 am! Diagnosed the problem right away, ordered the necessary part, and did the repair work within two days. Professional, efficient and friendly, and the office kept me in the loop all through the process. I would (and will) use them again.

Just had my annual start up, first time HVAC owner. The technician Wilson was great, I asked him to explain the service. He showed me everything. Explained how everything works and was truly knowledgeable and a gentleman. When I had the system installed all the workers were polite, neat, clean and left me with the most amazing system. My Airconditioner guy retired,. So I called this company. A Waste of time the office needed so much information about my Airconditioner I think they thought I was a technician. It is $189.00 for the service calls waste of money nothing got fixed.So I got another A/c company and now I'm happy. Don't waste your time or money like me.

Follow-up: I had a local company here 15 minutes after Gelber and Sons left (same day service unheard of). They serviced my "self" installed unit. They had it up and running for $300 fee and in less than hour without replacing any factory connections! Very pleased with the new company. I will be recommending them.

We knew last summer that our existing A/C unit had a slow leak, and it would eventually need to be replaced. When summer came around this year, we were hoping we could squeeze another season out of the unit with a little extra refrigerant. I rarely write reviews for businesses, but with the summer coming, I know than many will be looking to have Central Air Conditioners installed (or replaced). With that said, Stan Gelber and Sons gets TWO THUMBS UP!

We just had a new heat & a/c system installed. The techs were extremely professional and polite. 6 men were in and out of the house all day and the installation was nothing short of perfect. Let me preface by saying that both my husband and I are commercial MEP engineers. Literally the toughest critics of proposed solutions and installations in this field.
This winter, we had a problem with our super high efficiency boiler which is only 5 years old. We called the company who installed it (previous owners) to have them service it. They came out twice but could not figure it out - which is nuts because the system literally has a digital screen which was displaying the problem. They offered no solution other than to send a third
