The movers were very nice….but careless with our furniture. The owner was obnoxious and off putting. We moved 25 miles and I’ve heard people moving across the country with less aggravation. Our very expensive furniture is damaged and irreparable. This is my second time using them and it was an awful experience as opposed to the first time.

From our initial contact with Peggy to set up an estimate to the professionalism, friendliness, and competence of our moving crew, this company is top-notch. I recently moved from an apartment to a house, a distance of only 5 miles. I went with Hometown because of a recommendation as well as the reviews, even though other companies came in with lower estimates. I found them to be very unprofessional, complaining about the amount of items in our storage unit and exhibiting generally rude behavior. They were careless with many of our items, tossing them off the truck and disregarding the boxes marked fragile. We have moved a number of times, two of those moves cross-country, and one just earlier this year, and this was by far our worst experience.

From the moment the guys walked into our house- professional and friendly. For both locations they immediately began covering the doorways to protect them as well as the hallway floors, railings and steps. They did a walkthrough of the house to cover what was going, staying and any other special instructions. They were quick, careful and just a fun crew!! I believe I was quoted a fair price, they came on time and they did everything I asked them to do. They also left everything clean and in place. Your Hometown Mover far exceeded my expectations. From my flat rate quote, the communication with Kate during the whole process to the crew that showed up the day of my move and the way they handled my fragile items. I was so worried to hire another company after a move that went terribly wrong years ago but because I was referred to YHM I decided to go with them for my move. They wrapped and protected my items, took apart and put together again some large tricky furniture. They were so polite and worked efficiently. I would use them again 100%.

Second time we used Hometown for our move and we were extremely satisfied. Wayne was very professional and up front throughout and the crew was awesome. Great care taken to pack, load and unload all of our stuff. It was nice to see everyone associated with hometown take such pride in their work!
We would definitely select them again...proof that you can go “Home” again!
