Our experienced team of inspectors are able to identify shingles with a manufacturer defect, as well as detect damage caused by hail or wind from one of the many severe storms that pass through our area every year. This damage is usually not visible from the ground. It requires a close inspection of the shingles, flashing, vents, and gutters to determine the presence and severity of this damage.
During the typical life of a roof there are several factors that may shorten the life expectancy of the product. Some examples are natural such as hail or wind damage. Recent settlements of class action lawsuits with shingle producers GAF and Horizon due to manufacturer defect have been settled and homes with these products are entitled to compensation towards the replacement of their roof.
Wind damage can also be a difficult to spot from the ground. In some cases you may have missing, crooked, or lifted shingles that only lift during high winds and look normal at all other times. Once a shingle becomes creased, it lifts easily and water is able to run under it, causing widespread damage.

I used this business few years ago. My roof was leaking even after it was replaced, due to a wrong flushing. The owner had given me a written warranty of several years so I tried to call and sent texts/emails to the owner, Jason Pruitt several times but he was totally unresponsive, irresponsible and unprofessional. One time he even hung up on us. I spent too much time dealing with AGs office and BBB. Robert McDaniel and Oscar are excellent! For example, during the last storm in Greensboro, our cap from the chimney was blown away. I called Robert that evening, he and Oscar showed the next morning to assess the damage. The job was completed within 24 hours. This was our second interaction with Home Solutions. The first time was immediately following the high wind storms in August 2019. Our roof, gutters and skylights were all damaged but they repaired them nicely. Over the years we have had positive and negative experiences with hiring contractors.
