Don't bother hiring.
We worked with them 2 years ago and thought they did such a great job and quickly too, so we scheduled them to help us move a couple weeks ago ... but THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! They were quick to respond when we reached out for scheduling our move but they were UNRESPONSIVE once the day arrived. There was absolutely no communication that any changes had come up. They did not inform us that they would not be coming. We texted and called only to be led to a full voicemail so there was NO WAY to get any updated information. I am extremely disappointed in this company! They confirmed they were coming and didn't show up on the scheduled time and didn't answer any of my calls. Then after 2 hours they called me and gave me an excuse, then said there coming so we waited, then again very disappointed because they were a no show! So we had search for another company and thank god we found someone but not until late at night, 55 moving really put us in a rut and I will never refer anyone to them again! This is not ok!

We used 55 Moving after considering several other moving companies, and we couldn't be any happier that we did. Joel and Eddy were on time, very professional, and they were very hardworking. This is a junk company. I have been a victim of not reading reviews and just believing on some unknown reference to book moving with them. These guys gave me appt for 9 am. They don't have a customer service number or any representative to talk to. You can only text to one number that they have provided. I got a call from them after repeated followup that mover will call me. He called me at 10 am to tell that they are down one truck, but they'll take care of the job. No ETA. Again repeated followup, he called back at 11 am to tell he is delayed and will come by 2:30 pm. Again called at 2:30 pm

Never ever again. I scheduled a move with this company. Triple confirmed the date and time with Eddie prior to the appointment. On the day of moving, I couldn't get ahold of them for over an hour. Finally Eddie texted back and said they will be at least 3 hours late and provide no guarantees that they will show up. He didn't bother to pick up the phone at all. No apology, no nothing!! I had to scramble to look for a new moving company on the moving day!! Horrible experience.

To call this company a "professional mover" is an insult to actual movers. It's just guys with a truck. The pricing on the webpage is an absolute sham. In no way shape or form is the base cost $55/hour (min 2 hrs). Eddie quoted me $200 over the phone for moving a 700 sq ft apartment.
They are slow, sand bag the move time, and continuously complain about the work they have to do. Take multiple extended breaks and then act like they're doing you a service by only charging you for the "labor". I had to move 1,400 feet down the road to another building. I watched them

I wish I would have read the bad reviews before scheduling them to move our one heavy item for us. They were supposed to show up in the morning, then changed it to the afternoon, then said they were stuck in traffic and couldn’t come. They never called us to make these changes, we found out when they would miss each window of time. Scheduled for the next morning at 7:30 and they never showed up. Don’t use them!! Very unreliable.

Warning to all.....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Early January 2021 we scheduled this company to move our house. They confirmed three times and they even called the night before. They were to be there at 8 AM.
We had prepared everything with the short time table we had scheduled.
Next morning at 8AM they didn’t show up. They never showed up and they wouldn’t answer their phones either. They left us in a bad place and scheduled with another company at added cost $ and never called us back.
What a loser operation. Don’t count on them.

My WORST moving experience story- STAY AWAY, Hire a professional mover INSTEAD.
Eddie who calls himself the owner agreed to do the move at 275 flat and I promised them if everything will be good I will give you guys a great tip. The move was scheduled for 9 AM. Right before 1 day, I called to check in if he is going to make it since I haven't heard from him. He constantly requested me to move my shift to 7:30 AM in the morning. We agreed on 8 AM. He again called in the night to tell me he can only do it at 7:30 AM as he has other jobs. I said ok even though I knew it's gonna be tough

WARNING - DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. If a 0 star is an option, that's what he would get. My mom booked with this company to move her apartment literally across a hallway. She had to move as her unit was scheduled to remodel. She booked with 55 Moving without reading other reviews. The night before she moved, she panicked after reading reviews and attempted to verify he would show up. Today is the day of the scheduled move and he did not show up. Hours later she was able to get him on the phone and he said he was busy and had truck issues and would likely not make it today??? When she questioned

WARNING! Do not use this company, worst experience ever! The night before my appointment I text to make sure we were on schedule and was told yes. The morning of my 8:00 a.m. appointment Eddie contacted me and asked me if you could change it to 10:00 a.m. and I said sure no problem when they were in no show by 10:45 I called and Eddie said he only had one truck and they were stuck on a job I did not even need a truck as I was just moving an apartment across from me. When he asked if we could change the day I said absolutely not and he hung up on me in!!

I had to reach out for an ETA, upon arrival no apology no sense of urgency. They moved like TURTLES!
I had a studio to move, it took them FOUR HOURS!!!!!! FOUR FREAKIN HOURS! So do not hire them. The time they took was ridiculous, I timed them and to move my sofa alone it took them 45 minutes. Go with professional movers who will move quickly.
I had a work event to attend that I missed because of their late arrival. Unfortunately my keys had to be turned in so I had no choice but to wait.

I should have known not to hire these people when I called to schedule as the person who answered was super rude and unfriendly . I was also told by that person that they had no hidden fees or charges and he gave me a price outright . I picked the company without looking at reviews . Bad idea!
