I had a old butcher block island/table refinished by someone else last year, and I didn't like the outcome at all. The varnish was way too thick and began to crack and chip. I called Warren after reading the other Yelp reviews and was glad I did. He called to confirm our appointment, showed up on time and provided a written estimate and references. He took the table to his place to work on it, and had me come by several times to check on things. He wanted to make sure that the color I had chosen for a stain was exactly what I wanted, etc. He asked lots of questions along the way to make

Good value and quality work. Excellent preparation and very thorough and patient when working with paints that need to be properly dried before the next coat. Warren and his helper Norby painted all my kitchen cabinets and a bar area. They look and feel stunning. It took a couple of weeks but the quality shines through. Rain slowed my project down as Warren won't paint unless the temperature and humidity are right. You got to respect that. I highly recommend Warren Schmidt. I will use him again.
