This is my first purchase from Tonkin Kia (22 Forte Sedan). I wanted a lease option they advertised on the Internet. When I got to the dealership, that car I wanted had already been sold and so Jared Peters showed me other available vehicle in that price range. Went in to look at a Sorento which had its MSRP posted on the website. When we sat down to discuss price they tried to hide the $10,000 mark up. On top of that low balled the trade in value of our vehicle by $6,000. I know the market is low on vehicles so i was willing to pay a little more but they are straight up trying to rob people. They may be able to get away with it now but i will remember this and won't ever be going back.

I bought my first brand new car here back in 2017 and was given such a great deal that I decided to trade that in for a brand new Kia Soul and love my new backup camera! I worked with Jake Ryan who listened to everything I wanted out of a car and despite making it hard on him due to me wanting a lower monthly payment he made it happen ! Jake was very attentive and I didn’t feel like I was being pushed to buy. I felt very comfortable and happy with my new payments and the service I was provided. I read on their website the price of the car I wanted. Confirmed it at the dealership with the salesman. I test drove the car and was ready to buy it until they added 8k to the price saying the extra fees were due to their limited inventory and popularity of the car. Then they tried to play it off like its normal behavior in todays car market. I'd been to 5 other dealerships for test drives and prices of other cars, including another Ron Tonkin dealership. So disappointed in this place I bought a car in 2019 from them came back to years later to trade it back in for a bigger SUV since my family was growing or a used SUV they do not check out their cars it's been one problem after another don't own any responsibility and will not help you the electrical system went out in the car before my first payment on my car they told me to take it to Chevy since it's a Chevy to get it diagnose I paid $165 to tell me that it's a $1300 problem take it back to the dealership and they pretty much told me that they're not going to help me

I just purchased a car for my daughter who goes to college in Portland. I live in California and needed to do everything remotely until we were able to come up to sign the papers and get the car. I bought both cars I have owned from this dealership and have felt so comfortable and safe in this space. Although every single person has been helpful, I want to give a HUGH shoutout to Aimen. I bought my car at Weston Kia in 2018 and was getting service out there but it was far away so I thought I would try Ron Tonkin since it's really close. Bad mistake. In August/September I got my oil changed and a replacement cabin filter. The tech spilled oil in the engine bay and used a chemical to "clean" it up.

Nobody of course told me this. I drove away and white smoke and a putrid burning smell was coming from under my hood. I drove back to my house and opened the hood to find spray residue all over my engine bay. I took it back and the rep mentioned that the tech spilled

This is my third car through Ron Tonkin Kia, and I literally won't go anywhere else. They always take such great care of me from sale to service. Even though there's a Kia dealership right here in Beaverton, I make the commute to Gladstone because it's worth it. The guys are all great (Jared Peters is the most upstanding car salesman I've ever met, and Travis Crawford is my all-time fav--he sold me my first Kia, and now he services my Kias as my service advisor; I trust him implicitly).

I can't begin to tell you what a world of difference this new car makes for our family

I'd give this place a 0 if I could. Just keep driving, don't do business at that pos Kia dealership. Couple years ago my wife got some invite to some game there. She received a key in the mail to win a car. We didn't win but who cares. Sounds to good to be true, probably is. Ok so to the point. Wife still needed a car. They ran my credit and tried to say I was a poor and had to pay like 24% interes. We kindly declined. 2 months later my credit ended up being poor because they ran my credit 20+ times. So f them. Just keep driving unless you have your shark suit on

Had a good experience here while shopping for cars, test driving several at various dealers along this strip of 99. Had no idea there were so many as Im never in this area.

While searching online, I saw a used a Toyota RAV4 at the Kia dealer and called to see if it was there for a test drive. My salesperson, Jaron, had it waiting with the AC turned on. nice! He printed out all of the CarFax info on the specific vehicle (number of owners and maintenance) and the Kelly Blue Book value.

When he followed up via text, he asked permission to text or call my cell. Another sign of respect and consideration

What a joke. I wished I would have waited and not listened to their lies. The company had the car I had been searching for and then they screwed me on the price.
The MSRP is $45k. Ron Tonkin marked it up to 60k because of market value. We were able to negotiated to 57k but we were GUARANTEED they would be the best price around by your sales manager.

2 weeks later, the same freaking car, make, year, less miles -only 50 miles not over 300, same color

Only difference
different dealership 10 miles away for only 48k.

Lesson learned.

We started at another dealership where we didn't have the greatest experience just waiting to look at a car. We showed up here a solid hour early for our appointment and Riley (who our appointment was with) came out to greet us and apologized for double booking himself (no you didn't, sir, we're an hour early but bless you for not calling me out on it), and put us in touch with another gentleman to assist us. Bought a 2019 in June 2020 had 20000+ miles. Tire pressure light is on they say it is the cold weather? Need new brakes on the front " tells me I can not wait until end of January. What ?
