I am still waiting for my fence to be installed since the tropical storm in August 2020. Today is July 20, 2021. Wayside said that they are trying to get the 6 feet fencing material my husband wanted. My husband a very patient man call ever so often and he is given a fool promise of "next week, next month". For all you know it took one year. The worker, one man came today 20 th July 2021, with the fence BUT with limited TOOLS TO INSTALL THE FENCN.He did not do anything for the fence,
said he need tools. So we are still waiting.Now -today at 1 pm a man from the company came to take measurements

They were great, installed a fence quickly and it has lasted for a long time. We're using them for a second time now as we need to add more fencing for our dog who is become an escape artist :) highly recommend!!

Have used Wayside Fence twice in the past and they were great. This time to repair my fence they were terrible. Gave deposit in November and told job would be completed after Thanksgiving.
Since then have made calls and were given various excuses I.e. weather, needed to pick up part, and coming Friday.
Finally in January cancelled. Not sure if there was a change of ownership or what. But service is not there.

Wayside Fence Company took a $5,000 deposit from me in September 2018 and never delivered the fence I ordered. I attempted to contact the company repeatedly for months afterwards but they kept stalling me by claiming that the fence was on back order. Fortunately, I used my credit card to pay for the deposit so after months of getting the run-around, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. The credit card company took several additional months to conduct an investigation but in late 2019 the charge was ultimately reversed. I advise anyone who has given this company their credit card information

I wish there was an option of no stars. They do not deserve even the one. Booked in early September for the second time and they kept putting me off. Beginning of January I had enough. I cancelled. I should have done it sooner.

Buyer Beware. Wayside was so shady. They took my deposit and would never, ever schedule installation. What a run around. Always an excuse. I would call weekly and they would push it off for another week. When I finally realized they had no intention of installing the fence, I called American Express and got my deposit back. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Please do not use Wayside Fence. We signed a contract in July to install a backyard fence. We were originally told 6 weeks for materials to come in and then after that were given the run around for months and months as to when our fence would arrive. We kept being told two more weeks and that they would call us and they never did. By December, when there was no sign of a fence ever coming, we canceled. Now we are trying to get our deposit back, which is not happening. We keep gettting the same story, one more week. We are not the only ones who have the same story. This seems to be a common business

I contracted with Wayside Fence on 7/2/2019. They told me two weeks. Every time I called in to check, they told me another week, another week, next week. It is now December and i am still waiting for them. They have NEVER reached out to me, it is only my persistence that keeps me up to date. Customer Service is HORRIBLE. Avoid them at all costs, they feed lots of BS to their customers.....

Buyer beware. We contracted Wayside fence and paid our 50% deposit. We had promises the supplies would be ordered and work would begin/be scheduled in 6-8 weeks. After repeated follow ups, continued excuses about why there were delays (3 months from time of deposit) we cancelled our order. They promised a refund, but only gave us a partial payment, promised us a second installment, never showed up and stopped returning emails.
The company does not seem to have its act together and signs contracts with folks without the material or labor in line to be able to fulfill their end of the contract.

The worst customer service I ever had to deal with. The initial visit should have opened my eyes when whoever came to measure, etc. ordered incorrectly as he didn't take into account the slope of the property which was very obvious. I had to wait another 6 weeks for new fencing to be ordered.
Several weeks after installation the gate post was loose and had to be recemeted. Again had to be recemented 2 or 3 times before it was corrected or so I thought! Apparently the post was cut too short and needed to be corrected with additional pipes. I may not have the terminology exactly correct as

We've had two excellent experiences with Wayside. First, about ten years ago, they installed a fence around our backyard. The fence is great, no problems. About a month ago, we had another section added to the fence. The young man who came to do the installation was thorough, and courteous in his explanation of what needed to be done, and he took great care to make sure our dogs would be protected and contained by the fence. I was very impressed with the service we received, and would use Wayside again.

Avoid. 5 years ago I bought a ton of tongue and groove wood fencing from Wayside. At that point the customer service was great and super helpful.I was so happy with the experience that the next summer I used them to replace a ton of other fencing as well as a Pergola. 5 years later the fence is literally rotting and falling apart. When I called Wayside I was told immediately that there was no warranty of wood and that they would do nothing. I am now going to have pay another company to replace their shoddy work. Fences should last longer then 5 years. Avoid- it's not worth the short term saving

Long story short: Moved into a home 6 years ago with existing Wayside fence. Needed to fence the other side of yard with same fencing. Salesman came, measured, took details, etc. Fence installed. Good job all around. But.....
Flash forward to a couple weeks ago. Top rail on my vinyl fence broke. No big deal, it happens. Called Wayside to order new rail. After receiving rail and getting home, I noticed that it would not fit. There were a different number of slat openings.
It turns out that the rail that had broken (from original fence) is not the same as the rail that I had installed

They just finished installing a cedar fence in my backyard, with an arbor, and it looks beautiful! (Now I need to update my house, haha!) The two guys were wonderful to work with - very professional, charming, and intelligent. I loved that they were such perfectionists and always asked such clear questions with problem areas to make it work for us!
