The technician was very polite and said he had 27 years of experience. My earlier post was not fair or accurate. Another technician came over to follow up on my perceived error message and clarified that the thermostat message was just informational. My problem may have been my misunderstanding of the newer thermostat messages and alerts about auxiliary heat that my previous thermostat did not track in any visible way.
Also, recheck of the monitoring system e-mail messages have been delivered each month since installation of the unit.
Overall, this is a great company, and I appreciate their efforts

Call them for home energy audit , Daniel is a very detailed guy and very helpful in explaining things. I had a few difficulties with scheduling due to COVID causing delays on my order. Actually got a better heat pump, installation took few days . Year later I had a concern about the work that was done . They came out the next week and solved the problem.

Tried to make an appointment to have insulation installed at my home. After 1.5 wks and 2 calls, I have not received a call back. Not the type of customer service anyone should receive!

Minnicks, you can't go wrong . Had a new HV/AC system installed in 2018. Couldn't have asked for a better company to deal with and an outstanding team of technicians. Theses techs were extremely thorough and worked in harmony to get the job done in a timely manner . Made sure I was walked through the operations of the new system before they left. I used Minnicks loyally for years since they installed HVAC equipment associated with an air quality study I participated in. I was always shocked at the high prices they charged, but believed I was getting good customer service and above standard card for my units. This year, they came out and told me I needed $2,400 worth of work on my two AC units. I paid for the work and was then told they are still in bad shape, and the rep tried to sell me 4K more in service to the units - I could have purchased two new units at that point. I then (don't ask why) asked them to come and service my AC

We had a failure of the blower fan on our furnace during a cold snap (of course!). Minnicks visited the day after we called and exactly on time. The problem was diagnosed quickly. It was explained to us that the part had to be ordered (we understand this) the part came in within 2 days and the technician made the repair perfectly at the time they said they would.
I will definitely contact Minnicks again with a HVAC repair. In my opinion they are a company that aims for high performance.

I have been calling and speaking to someone for over a week in regards to my bill ( that has already been paid )from a recent service. What I was billed for and what I was told it would be appear to be two different things but I am passed off and told a manager will call me but that hasn't happened. My service tech was great but the customer service so far is less than to be desired. I have spent a lot of money with this company and as a local business owner would never treat my customers this way. Maybe this review will prompt someone to actually reach out.

Two years ago, I asked for a summer cleaning and agreed to purchase a remote monitoring system that was supposed to constantly inform them of the condition of my HVAC system and have them right there is something went wrong. Paid over $1,200 for it! Each month I got a couple of emails telling me everything was OK. That was until my system blew up. I never got a call or a notice that my system had an issue or was even offline! They took my $1,200 and sent me a couple of useless emails and that was it and my AC until was smoking in the back and they were

Was using them to take advantage of a Pepco maintenance rebate. Instead I was told my four year old unit was only running at 50% efficiency and proceeded to upsell a variety of other products and services...none of which actually addressed the issue. When I pressed for more details about my apparently failing unit, I was put off and never received a response. A second call to a different contractor revealed my unit was running perfectly.
