I promised my son a TV in his room for his 7th birthday. I wanted to surprise him and have it mounted before he got home from school. Problem was, I didn't have a battery for the studfinder and I wouldn't be able to go to the store until later in the evening. I called Joe and he said he could come later in the day. Once I explained the situation with my son and wanting to surprise him, he softened up and was here within the hour with a positive attitude. Wish I could give a higher rating because Joe was fast in his responsiveness and came out a that week to do the job. So availability was good.
However, the issues were once at the job.
1) had agreed on using 2 wood for the fence and the cost, but he ended up only doing one side and the other he used my existing, citing that he was saving me money, but that was not what we had agreed upon, and i still got charged 100 additional for using my old wood. and the end result, the gate door is too tight when closing and doesn't fully come to a true 90deg angle..
2) they spray painted the existing

I had consulted him to replace all my base boards. I was going to buy new base boards and he was going to paint them, remove old base boards and then put the new ones on. He came to the house and gave me the quote. He told me it will be the same price if he just restores the baseboards. He told me he'll fill in all the cracks, sand them down and paint it. He told me I'd save money since I don't have to buy new base boards and it will look like new. I agreed. Well. All he did was fill in some cracks and painted over it. He never sanded anything down. Jose keeps helping us out this year! I've used him to nail down carpeting, install a door, and attach a light fixture to our living room ceiling. He charges like $75 or more for small jobs like that, BUT he actually responds and shows up on time (unlike many others). Post-COVID, it's almost impossible to get handymen to reply or show up for work, but Jose keeps making himself available. Thanks Jose!

I originally reached out for estimates and this guy responded right away. He did a good job of communicating, but then the day before he was going to come out he said he couldn't come out. I already had my TV and mount ordered - I was ready to go.
When I told him what I wanted, he increased his original estimate. At the end of the day, I didn't even wind up using him. His reliability is very low to me.

I would like to start by saying I REALLY hate leaving negative reviews (check my profile), but I guess I don't have much of a choice here. I reached out to several handy men to get an estimate for installing a prehung door. I expressed to Joe I wanted the door and frame replaced. He assured me I did not need to replace the frame if it was the same size door, which it was. I am not the handyman, so I took his word for it. Specifically, I told him I was OK with either option, so long as it was done right.
He gave me a low cost (which wound up being more) and told me he could come out that weekend

I had a 43inch TV and a TV mount that needed to be installed. I searched through Yelp and saw HandeeJoe business. I asked for an estimate and he gave one of $75.00 in which I thought was fair. Once Jose / the owner arrived, he was friendly and worked fast . It took less than a hour to install the mount and TV. The TV looks awesome on the wall of my bedroom. I can't wait to actually watch some movies on it. Yelpers, if you need something done by a professional and a friendly technician, please give Jose/owner a call. You will not be disappointed. Had our TV mounted into the brick above our fireplace and are super happy with the outcome. I had several price quotes and he was competitive and able to squeeze us in same day. He arrived when he said he would, was very friendly, and completed the job with no issues within 20 minutes or so. The TV looks great and I would highly recommend his services!

Highly recommend this guy. Jose gave us a next-day appointment, showed up when he said he would and followed covid protocols. He mounted our large tv and installed an electrical outlet behind the tv. He even had to climb into the attic to run the electrical wiring because our wall had a fire block. Great job and reasonably priced! We will definitely use him again for other jobs.

I cannot recommend Joe. He did not show up on the day he said he would. When he did show up, he started talking about different prices for items we discussed before hand. He immediately tried to get out the work and stated he must be paid per day versus the lump sum we discussed. He showed up with out supplies and adequate equipment.
We did have him hang an antique lamp and this is what I came home to. See the pics. I had to spend time fixing it myself. We gave him $75 for this type of work. He then would not answer the phone to discuss the situation.

For what's it's worth , Joe took care of the hard part. The small defects he left behind are nothing to make a big fuss about , atleast for me .
If you're picky then look elsewhere, the price is reasonable I even gave him a little extra .
I can sit here and ding him on every little thing I noticed , but I'm just happy my rack is up . I went back to fix the defects Joe left behind.
Cons :
bolts not fastened, had to go back and tighten them up (easy fix ).
Asked for tools
Drilled in the wrong place so left holes on wall ( eye sore but can also be fixed )
Left extra hardware

I would NOT recommend hiring Joe. Here is why:
1. He had to move our appointment back, which is fine, but was late anyway.
2. He forgot what work he was supposed to do right before our appointment.
3. He did the 2 tasks I asked him to do (see my screenshot image) but charged $150 instead of the $100 quote he gave me (again, see screenshot image). He did not do any extra work, he just decided to charge more once the work was done and would not leave until he received that amount.
He does get 2 stars because he showed up on the same day that he said and the work did get done.
