Cabling is necessary when weak branch attachments and unstable crotches form in trees. These trees often never received structural pruning earlier in their lives. These areas are the weakest parts of a tree. They are likely spots for the failure of large branches or entire sections of tree during windy or snowy conditions.
Whether you are clearing land to make room for construction, or looking for ways to protect your trees while developing around them, we are here to help get you going on your next big project. At Woodworks Tree Service, we are experienced at working directly with contractors looking to manage their trees during construction projects.

Mike and his crew are professional arborists - they show up prepared, attentive and communicate thoughtfully. They are dedicated to safe and professional practices. I've hired a number of other tree trimming companies in the Hudson Valley who claim to be professionals and Mike and his team are head and shoulders above the fray. I strongly recommend hiring Woodworks Tree Service - like most professional service oriented companies, they are booked out, but it's worth it for top notch pruning! (pun intended)

Mike came out to give me an estimate, was actually EARLY - when does THAT happen. He knows what he is talking about and he did a beautiful job on my trees. He didn't drive heavy equipment on my lawn and asked if he could do the job a week earlier. I have never been so impressed. He did exactly what he said he would do and I couldn't ask for anything more. What a great guy and a great team!

Michael was professional, communicative and helpful in navigating the process of figuring out how to care for some very large trees on our property. The team was well equipped, quick and most importantly very careful / safe. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or work with Woodworks Tree Service again!

Excellent crew. On time, very careful removing large pieces of a mulberry tree without damaging surrounding trees, shrubs, fence, or themselves! And a thorough cleanup afterwards. Highly recommend Mike’s business.

Within 5 seconds of approaching our property, Mike knew every tree and the appropriate course of action to take. He is an encyclopedia of tree knowledge.
A detailed estimate was provided and we were given the option to keep some or all of the woodchips and logs, or have them haul it away at no extra cost. Highly recommended!

Mike was prompt and courteous in coming out to give an estimate (primarily for a huge willow trunk that had fallen in the middle of a fenced-in garden), and knowledgeable in the discussion. He and his crew did exactly what was promised and did it when it was promised. The amount charged seemed very reasonable.

Mike is a knowledgeable arborist running a small business that he's grown from the ground up. My family hired Mike to take out a couple locusts in my yard and he did it without landing the felled trees in any of the numerous flower beds and gardens! He also cut the logs into firewood length and stacked them for us. A job well done 5star work!

They just finished a job at my house. I wanted them to take down a tree and trim a number of others. They did an incredible job!. Everyone on the team was a pro. Mike was great to deal with and even did a great job in treating my neighbor (one of the trees overhangs her yard and they needed to put the chipper on her driveway) with respect and made sure they didn't damage her yard. They are proud of their work and it showed in how they handled themselves. Mike kept checking with me to make sure they were doing what I expected them to do. They even cut the tree to length for me so that

These guys did a great job removing a large pine tree that was beginning to lean over my neighbors house (Good thing too; It was pretty hollow in the middle). I was impressed with their professionalism and the rope skills displayed. They managed to take the whole tree down without getting limbs stuck in a maple tree, or damaging a tree house, outbuilding, or fence, all of which were in the fall zone. They set up a zip line type system that was used to lower logs and limbs out of the fall zone and directly to the chipper. Very cool to watch!
Even with the careful work required for this job, Woodworks
