In 2009 two guys decided to make a difference in the landscape of Chicagoland insulation. Dedicated to providing the customers with the most accurate building science, making homes more energy efficient, comfortable, and lowering the cost of owning. I would not hire this company again.
Extremely poor communication and follow up, I spent vast amount of time trying to communicate between the office and salesperson. The salesperson James shows up, sells the job and then vanish - his Voice mail is full and there is no way to get a hold of him.
The only good aspect is that crew is very professional and hardworking.

I was looking for a contractor who deeply understands all my energy-efficiency goals for our home. Green Attic is that company. They insulated our attic affordably and quickly to R-60, past code, and the difference was night and day immediately. Literally within hours we noticed no condensation on our windows and, since we had the attic insulated one day before 6" of snow fell, we only had to wait 48 hours to see the difference with almost no icicles while our neighbors have visible ice dams. I am planning to work with them for several other energy efficiency upgrades like a heat pump install

And just like that Green Attic saves the day again! My upstairs neighbors refrigerator line broke, causing water to leak into my ceiling and causing significant damage to my living room wall. Per usual Green Attic really came through for me. After scheduling with the extremely professional gem, Genevieve; James (my favorite) stopped by and looked at the damage, he immediately arranged for it to be repaired by the wonderful Mike, who had it met previously before. Update on review
As you can see in prior photos, there was quite a mess left behind as well as damages to the ceiling. After a month or so trying to get a hold of the owner, I was always redirected to James Minsky. At the time he was referred to as the Project manager. James reached out to me, to try and fix the mess his crew had left behind. I was very hesitant to let anyone from Green Attic back in my house after the way they had left the ceiling, but James was persistent in making things right, and told me this would be taken care of with no money necessary, if, and only if I took my 1 star

I contacted Green Attic for a quote on 10/20. Unlike the competitors, they were able to give a quote based on my provided dimensions, sight unseen. My project was garage attic insulation, so I can run my heat source in my finished garage without having to worry about creating a condensation environment, which could lead to roof rotting. The fact that they were willing to work with me on the quote over the phone was super refreshing. In fact, one of the competitors I called wanted to charge me $99 just to get an estimate! Green Attic provided me with an initial quote of $5424 including replacing the drywall. I chose them because they were in-line with other quotes I received, but I liked that James, their representative, took time to explain the work to me in detail. After Green Attic demolished all the drywall, they saw that I needed more spray foam and updated their quote to $6036, which I agreed to conditional on them correcting some mistakes in their quote

Don't ever use this company! I should have been warned by the reviews of James. Also the poor communication and follow up. All of the above I learned the hard way! James will lie to your face and try to sell you something even if you don't need it! The office never responds to emails or phone calls! They send crews to your house without even confirming! The crews do sub par work. This is one of the worst companies I've ever seen or hired! I would give them 0 stars if I could!

We worked with David and the Green Attic Insulation installers to properly insulate our attic. We were aware of inadequate/improper insulation when we bought our home five years ago and reached out to several places for estimates; ultimately choosing Green Attic and pleased we did so.

I been working in construction for 30 years and I like to think I know what a good value looks like. From the first time I met David P. I knew the project would be successful, David was very clear on explaining what the process would be and how it would add value to my house. His crew came in on two of the hottest days of the year and still managed to complete the work in the time scheduled. Green Attic was hired to do some mold remediation and insulation installation inside my condo. Our HOA had some some previous insulation work in the past by Green Attic, so we felt comfortable in their ability to do a good job.
This experience was completely different. Not only was their work subpar, but it was downright reckless and dangerous. These people have no business being in the mold remediation business!
As with any project, I got 3 bids and they all pretty much said the same thing. They would come in and

I chose Green Attic Insulation, Inc. from the Nicor Gas/ComEd Energy Efficiency Program list of contractors because of their impeccable reputation, and they did not fail. First of, Amanda promptly scheduled an inspection. David came for the scheduled inspection, explained the plan, and is very flexible with the other contractors working on the on-going house repair. Both Amanda and David are on the top of things updating me about schedule, and were able to schedule me one week early. I got the estimate within 24 hours of the inspection, which is so thorough and easy to understand.

I had attic insulation blown in just last week. Green attic made the entire experience easy, from quoting, to providing all the information about my attic and about insulation and to the install work. Romulo and his crew did an amazing job with the work! He explained what they saw up in my attic and a recap of the job once it was complete. You would never know the hose was running through my house, everything was cleaned up afterwards. I feel confident that my home will be more efficiently heated and cooled now. We had bad ice dam issues all around our building. I called Green attic because I heard they were the best!
James came in to assess the leaks and damage and that day his team came in and immediately started working on all of our ice issues. After the ice and snow were taken care of they right away start on any and all damage.
We had a small time frame they needed to get it done in. Not only did they get it done in time but, they absolutely exceeded our expectations!
Super happy with Green attic and we will be using them again when needed.

We contracted with them to install soundproof insulation in our condo ceiling. We had reasonable expectations for "soundproofing" but we were sold on James' communication to us that he would be very hands on during the project and that when they were done we "wouldn't hear a thing."

Long story short, my insulation needs were unexpected and came at the worst possible time weather wise. After doing some preliminary research, I reached out to Green Attic and am very happy I did. David was on top of my issues right away, despite the fact they were busy, and provided a bevy of helpful information that made me feel confident (during a difficult time) to move forward. Pricing was incredibly reasonable, and David was patient as variables (like the number of recessed lights that needed to be air sealed) kept changing.

The entire experience was good. They are knowledgeable, hard working, and cleaned up when finished. This is the second time I used them. The first time was when I finished my basement. We're happy with both jobs. I wish my rehab contractor was this good.

I purchased the Energy Audit and I couldn't be happier with the results.
After consulting with several different companies about my home's thermal efficiency/heat loss issues, I wasn't satisfied at all. It seems that almost any contractor I talked to just wanted to recommend their own solution, rather than help me accurately diagnose the issues. One company said I needed to spray foam the rim joists (they're a spray foam co.), another said I need to blow cellulose into the wall cavities from the outside of the house (just happens to be their specialty), another individual
