Torchio Architects
Torchio Architects' emphasis on personal customer service is the cornerstone of the practice. Every project is crafted as a carefully considered response to our client's wants, needs, site and budget. The results are buildings that are a reflection of the client not the architect.

Like our clients, our projects include a wide variety of types and styles and include churches, restaurants, offices, banks, houses, schools, golf courses, apartments, stores, factories, hotels and more. The firm strives to design buildings which create healthy and productive environments in which to work, live and worship.
Services
A critical part of the visioning process, the master plan looks beyond the present and establishes a road map for future development. All of the services listed under the Visioning heading are often included in the Master Planning process. An evaluation of the architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical components of an existing facility in regards to functionality, condition, architectural merit and code compliance.
Torchio Architects is the evolution of a firm first established in 1983 by Gregory D. Torchio, AIA, LEED AP. In 1990, Greg moved the firm to Centreville, MD, where it has become a contributing member of the mid-shore business community. Greg Torchio is the president of the firm and oversees all work.
U. S. Green Building Council states in its LEED Reference Guide: The environmental impact of the building design, construction and operation industry is significant. Buildings annually consume more that 30% of the total energy and more than 60% of the electricity used in the U. S. Each day five billion gallons of potable water is used solely to flush toilets.
Greg has a pretty impressive reputation with builders and government officials in this area. And when we first interviewed them, the firm had not designed a ton of manufacturing buildings, but you quickly realize Greg is a very honest and honorable person. To me that is his greatest asset. I had my own set of ideas and concepts of what I wanted for our home and Greg seemed to really appreciate that.
Our demand for new personnel varies. We are always interested in hearing from self motivated, ambitious and talented individuals. We try hard to maintain a healthy and happy work place which is located in a small rural town. If you possess these qualities and think our operation may suit you please email a cover letter, resume and examples of your work to Greg Torchio, AIA at info@torchioarchitects.com.
