We are a road association, a small private community up in Alta. We needed to repair our 16-year-old privacy gate and keypad. Our keypad had been vandalized and a lot of our mechanics on the gate had worn out. We got quotes from various contractors, but Shane Dalton, owner of Rolling Garage Doors & Gates, Inc. came in with the lowest bid and was our best value. Shane and his crew showed up to work every day for over a week putting in new posts, hinges, wiring and sensors along with a new controller and an updated high-tech soft touch keypad that works off cell. Called them about a new gate system at our new home. Shane said to send photos of what we had after he informed us he wouldn't be able to do anything for three weeks. After taking the time to text a series of photos of our old gate and system. He texted "We are specialists in high end gates. I'm not going to be your guy."
No Shane you not going to be our guy. We wanted a new, high-end, custom gate and got treated like this? Can't believe he judged us by our old gate. Going to spend my $$$ somewhere else.

I love my new custom driveway gate. Shane was very responsive from our first contact and always came at the times he estimated. He was concerned about aesthetics, an important element to me, and honored my concerns about not making my narrow driveway even more difficult to traverse. Â He is a master at custom metal construction, knows the safety regulations, and understands the engineering requirements to ensure a long-lasting, safe and beautiful product. I just called this place and he answers with a curt hello, I said is this rolling garage doors? he said yes, I said I am having an issue with the sensors and battery and he says "where are you located?", I told him Shingle springs, he said "yeah I don't go out that way". I simply said good because your customer service skills are horrible and hung up. Shane, you run a business you should know how to interact with customers, also you are listed as you service El dorado county and list the cities and Shingle Springs is one of them you need to correct this.

We called on a Sunday night looking for garage repair, Courtney answered, then Shane got on the phone and within 24 hours our issue was resolved. I was really surprised to be able to find someone that quickly,(who was already booked, but squeezed us in) and have it turn out to be such excellent service. Shane was ethical, reliable, (called when he said he would call, and showed up when he said he would.) This is his specialty so he's also very knowledgeable. Would definitely use him again.

Shane was very helpful and honest. We previously had an emergency motor put in form a different company and they took complete advantage of us and sold us a lemon motor. Shane laid it all out for us and told us all of our options before we made a decision. We will use Rolling Garages and Gates for all our garage and gate needs!

We were in desperate need of replacing our whole garage setup. I was happy to come across Shane. Turns out the awesome Yelp reviews were accurate. I can't get over how quickly we got a quote and doors installed within a day! A double and single with all operating parts installed in one day! He was super knowledgeable and was very particular about providing good quality product and workmanship. Never thought I would be so excited about garage doors. Shane just finished replacing my garage door opener, door rollers, spring, etc. I really appreciate he came on a Saturday, since I work full time during the week. He was polite, knowledgeable, fast and efficient. All around nice guy and explains everything he does in great detail and why he's doing it.
