In 1947, with an entrepreneurial spirit, our grandfather, William H. Kroplin, Jr. decided to fill a need in Napa County. He began Napa Septic Tank Service Inc., to service and pump existing septic systems throughout the Napa Valley. In 1960, a young man named John Rawlins, who just happened to be dating Bill's daughter, Vicki, joined the crew!
Through the years, John would become the foreman and backhoe operator for the growing company. Vicki assisted with bookkeeping, accounting and managing the office, while raising her three daughters. John and Vicki took over the business when Bill retired in 1980. John's photographic memory of people and places around the Valley earned him the reputation as the "go-to guy" for septic system information for nearly half a century!
When John and Vicki retired in 2010, Jose and his wife, Laura, took over the daily operations of Napa Septic Tank Service, Inc. with John, making himself available for consultation and advice. It is with pride and gratitude that Jose and Laura carry forth the tradition started by Bill and John, to serve the Napa County with high-quality workmanship, honesty and fair prices!
