This is one of the most important questions you can ask when interviewing a contractor. The people who will be in your home every day can obviously make or break the job, but there is a lot more involved than that. The people working in your home can make your job a success or failure. The more questions you ask previous customers the better informed you will be, and the more comfortable and happy you will be.
At Roadrunner, we are a small company that performs one job at a time. We have one crew of midwestern craftsmen that work in the field, and the owner (that's me) does everything else. We have no salesmen, receptionists, estimators, designers or production managers on staff (except me of course). You are dealing with the owner of the company at all times.
With the exception of the Kitchen, Bathrooms are the most expensive room in the house to remodel. The reason is the fixtures and finishes. Your selections of these materials has a big influence on the price of your project. For example, a standard good quality toilet such as Kohler "Wellworth" runs about $130 (at a retail warehouse store) for the bowl, tank, shutoff, supply line and seat.
Do you have a grungy old tub or shower enclosure that you would like to have chucked into a dumpster? These happy folks did just that. The job is relatively painless and takes less time than you may think. Give us a call, we love tearing these things out for our clients and makin' em' brand-spankin' new again!
Roadrunner's goal was to please us. Other contractors told us that what we wanted to do would be too expensive or wasn't possible or practical. Patrick Benkowski, owner of Roadrunner, picked up on our request to blend the renovations with our current 30 year old house. He did a beautiful job and we are very pleased with the result.

Patrick remodeled our bathroom 3 years ago and did a great job. I talked with lots of people at work who hired less expensive workers and were unhappy with the quality and length of time it took to complete the job. I did my research and found that Patrick was licensed, bonded and had a good record of happy customers. When my bathroom was remodeled, Patrick never took a day of and the job was done in about a week. We were very happy with the results. We may have paid a bit more, but the quick and quality work was worth it. We are planning for Patrick to remodel our kitchen in the fall for the same

Roadrunner did two major remodelings for us. A bathroom and a kitchen. Both were done when we were not in residence. When we returned they were absolutely perfect. We did not need to change one thing. We have found that Patrick and his company are competent, fair, extremely professional and a joy to work with. We recommend this company to anyone. You will not regret it!
