George replaced our storm doors when we first moved in our home early 1990’s.
10 years later we needed to replace thee handle - he still had us in his records and easily replaced! It’s 2020 now and we need another new door handle and....Bingo! He’s still in business and has us in his records. We’ll be getting g a replacement handle soon.

Writing this review for a friend who does not have a computer or Yelp account and lives in the south suburbs. He informs me that this business owner does not promptly return phone calls and is difficult to work with. Promises made but not kept. So I agree with the Yelp comments made 3-4 years ago by another customer who found out the hard way.

The company installed gutter guards for my home. The price was reasonable and Mr. Uhlmann was very responsive to questions and concerns. I really appreciated the photos of the finished work (before pics too). A repair was needed later due to a squirrel and the company addressed this as well. Two neighbors are now getting gutters as well.

Do yourself a favor and find another place to get your windows, doors, etc.
I have three thermal Windows that were installed by Uhlmann Home Improvements quite some time ago. They came with a lifetime warranty. They now have sustained condensation damage. George Uhlmann (the owner) now wants me to pay an additional $700.00 for replacement glass and labor.
He is working out of his home at 1424 Heather Hill Crescent, Flossmoor, IL 60422.
He has no overhead!
Doesn't return phone calls when he says he'll call you back.
The storefront at 11636 S. Pulaski, Alsip, IL 60803 is just for storage
