Common pin tumbler locks can easily be picked open. Medeco has a patented and UL-listed design which makes security compromise virtually impossible. Drilling an ordinary lock open is an every day occurrence. Medeco locks have hardened steel inserts strategically placed within the lock to safeguard against physical attack.
Master keying in pin tumbler locks can be accomplished in several ways, with the earliest systems dating back over 100 years. The conceptually simplest master key method entails two cylinders on each lock, one keyed individually and the other keyed to the master bitting; a mechanical linkage operates the lock when either cylinder is turned.

I could not be more happy with the professionalism and workmanship from this company. Ed was very helpful and patient on the phone and gave me alot of options to help save money and still have effective work done. As soon as the parts came in, which was a day or two, Ed called me and an appointment was set up the very next day. As a person who doesn't know much about locks the man on the phone did a great job explaining to me how much it would cost to rekey my doors. He was professional and patient..also the technican came out the same day I called. The experience was simple and quick to get my doors re-keyed!

Extremely professional, and helpful. They will go out of their way to meet your needs and expectations. I came in with an OEM blank for a Honda motorcycle, and it turns out that the key I had brought in and been given with the motorcycle had been modified. Ed went above and beyond to research the problem and make the OEM blank work as intended after our initial cuts did not work. Very happy I came here as I'm sure that not everybody would go through the extra trouble, and would simply ask you to bring another blank.
