My yard has never looked worse!
I prepaid for 8 applications, then added aeration & later sod webworm treatments.
I went 2 months with NOTHING.
When I called to ask about why nothing, I was told that due to COVID-19 they are having a tough time getting back on schedule, and that I needed to be patient.
So, I waited 1 week and still no treatments or communication. I decided that that was enough and sent a letter to request a refund for the remaining services. I feel as though I had been patient long enough.
When I got the refund it was short $20.

I wrote out a check for the amount owed ($73.18) on June 6, 2019, and put it in the mail. I discontinued service because I was leaving the country, and I let Texas Green Turf know that. The end of August, I get a photocopy of the check, along with a note saying "Check Returned, Reason: Closed Account. Balance Due $85.18."
Three months after I wrote out the check, I get a note saying not only was the check just sitting there for three months, but now I'm being charged a penalty! Good Grief!

I have been blessed to have Texas Green Turf in my life for over 10 years. This is the second lawn I have asked for their services. I applied my own fertilizer and took care of my own lawn problems for many years. I cannot do it for what TGT charges, plus I don't have to drag home the bags and apply it to the lawn. One phone call takes care of ANY problem. Jim, Josh and Wesley spoil me rotten. I know this sounds like a friend of the owner, but I assure you, even though I am treated as a friend, I started using TGT not knowing them at all. I sign up for their regular yearly fertilization

I have used Texas Green Turf for a few years now, and I was very pleased with their services up until within the last year. The customer service has gone to the tube, they are unreliable, do not show up to perform services when they say they are and in talking with the owner/manager (whoever he was) in the pass he was very curt and not at all kind over the phone. I did recently cancel and I have moved on to TruGreen Lawn, which is much better a bit more expensive, and I am willing to pay when there is good communication and customer service. TruGreen gives you a thorough lawn treatment along

A company that doesn't return phone calls or have any guarantee other than they are happy to provide you service indicates that they really don't care. For a small company competing against megacorporations, that's deadly.
Add to the fact they turn you over to a collection agency that posts on your consumer credit report for disputed service (1 lousy service is unpaid!), gives you an idea that these folks are in it for the money and only the money.
Stay away.
