It is making a comeback so lets' be ready. This resurgent pest is devastating in the caterpillar or larvae stage. It begins after the Winter Moth larvae have dropped so it may require a second visit from Bug Busters. You may remember the tattered leaves and armies of hairy, blue and red caterpillars from the 1980's.
Pruning involves the selective removal of parts of a plant, such as branches, buds or roots. Here at BarkBusters we utilize pruning techniques to keep your trees and plants happy and healthy. One of the major consequenses of not pruning your trees consistently is the risk of deadening and diseased limbs that may weaken and/or break.
There are many reasons to plant new trees or shrubs in your yard. This type of addition to your landscape can transform the aesthetic appeal of the property, be used for shade in the summer months or even supply your family with fruit. However, before you start digging a location for your new foliage friends keep in mind that there is a strategy to planting properly.
Cedar Apple Rust affects both your Cedar and Apple trees. Both trees are needed to support the conditions that cause this fungus to thrive. You may not have both of these species on your property, but your neighbors might have the other host. On your apple trees, you'll notice the spotting on your leaves, and.
To care for trees and plants in the most effective and appropriate way possible, an Arborist needs to become an expert in Pest Management. Pest Management for trees involves the removal or control of harmful insects from vulnerable plants. Insects can be lumped into three broad categories: Chewing Insects, Sucking Insects and Boring Insects.

Mike is stellar. He gave a fair price, show up on time with his crew, stayed the whole time and made sure the job was done efficiently, and his crew cleaned up everything. I'm so satisfied with the work done on my trees. Ask for Mike when calling Bark Busters. He will make sure your job is a fair price, done correctly, and your satisfied. Thank you so much crew!

This is our second time using Mike Vecchio at Bark Busters and we are extremely pleased! The first time we had 2 large trees removed. This time we needed a full yard tree trimming. We worked with Mike both times and he is extremely professional and we trust his expertise! The quote process was super easy - we walked around the house with Mike and explained what we wanted, we wrote up the quote on the spot and got us on the schedule quickly. On the day of, his crew came out and jumped right in and everything was mulched/hauled off so we didn’t have to deal with cleanup! Thank Mike and Team!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Value
Brent and the rest of the crew did a stellar job completing cutting down three trees and pruning two back. Worked quickly and the job was done in less than three hours (they were not huge trees). Very courteous and great pricing for all that was done. Thanks again.

Workers were incredibly rude and unprofessional. An adult man raised his voice at my 70 year old Mother when she asked him to stop cutting a certain tree by her front door . They also did not perform good work, they butchered the trees and they have never looked worse. They also did not know the term "arborist" which is concerning when you have people coming to remove trees etc. The trees will likely be permanently damaged due to this. What a shame.

I asked for the crew rate and pointed out nine trees I wanted out, most of them mature oaks and poplars. The crew rate was at a substantial discount for what I'd previously been quoted by another company just for the five most problematic trees. Risky, but wow it paid off. The guys worked hard, took out all nine, and cleaned the yard fully in a day. They even had time to limb and trim back a tree I intended to keep, and needed it. Tremendous value and service, much appreciated.

I had a great experience with the company and the representative Mike that worked with me directly. Mike came out and gave me an estimate for 6 trees to come down. They came in took down the wooden fence to the back yard and cut down all of the trees careful not to hit the home or shed near the very large trees. I also added 2 additional trees while I was there. They also put the fence back up. It was a good price and a great value. Now I have no trees that I worry about falling down on the house. I do plan to have them come back again and cut down additional trees in the future as well as grind

I have many issues with this business.
1. I paid by the day and was told they would work from around 8am-6PM with an hour lunch break. They typically did show up at 8AM but they took 3 hour lunch breaks and many other breaks during the day. They stayed until 6PM on one day but often left at 4PM. The result was not getting nearly the amount of trees cut down that I was promised.
2. I was told that for safety reasons they only "topped" trees and never just lay the whole tree down. This was completely false. They laid several trees down right into the middle of the street. One of the trees crushed

I signed up with a neighbor for a multi day project involving a number of trees to be removed. We paid a daily rate and were told it represented a significant discount, but that value more than disappears when the crew shows up a half hour late, takes an hour to two hour lunch break each day (don’t get me wrong, they were working hard and deserve a lunch break) and leaves an hour before you were told would be the end of the period you paid for.
We were told they would leave our yards in great condition, but there were big gouges in my grass where they laid down tree sections (which is right

Mike and Paul are the best. They show up on time, complete the tasks and the yard is clean. Pricing in right in line and Mike's climbing skills cannot be beat. When you are doing tree work, don't go cheap. These guys are the best and don't need all kinds of fancy cranes to do regular tree work. Been using them for over 20 years.

We hired them for one full day with the understanding that a set minimum amount of work would be done. It was also understood the place would be left in decent order as we had a large family gathering scheduled for that weekend. The crew showed up, worked hard and cut down a lot. Unfortunately that is where the good news ends. I fault everything after that to a lack of supervision!
1st, one tree and 2 brush piles were left that were in the minimum work listed. They still demanded full payment 😲
2nd, damage: crushed landscaping, roof damage, broken fence and even killed our plastic flamingo’sâ€

Bark Busters removed a very large (100+ year old) linden tree from our front yard in May 2012, including stump grinding. They also pruned several large shade trees (removal of 8-10 limbs per tree).
The owner Michael was very quick to respond to my phone call and came by to give an estimate within two days. Once we decided to give them the job (they were the best of three quotes), they started within about 2 weeks and it took 3 days. The crew showed up precisely at 8am each morning and was extremely professional and courteous.
The tree we had removed was massive and there were wires in the way
