Van Winkle Construction is a fourth-generation enterprise dedicated to teamwork, communication, and personal service founded in 1931. Ed Van Winkle Sr established the company during the depths of America's Great Depression with the belief that building a successful project and building successful relationships were one and the same.
Ed learned the Construction business from the ground up prior to formally becoming Company President in 1998. This Georgia Tech alumni cut his construction teeth jackhammering concrete on the initial demolition for Grady Hospital's new 1979 entrance before learning the business as a Project Engineer and Project Manager.
We match the skills and passions of our team to the needs of our community through company-led initiatives like our annual Shoot for Literacy benefiting the Matthew E. Russell Foundation, and support local community-based organizations in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow. Van Winkle's outreach partners include organizations based in the Southeast and worldwide.
