Services
A soil test is performed to determine the size, location and type (conventional or mound) of wastewater treatment system that will be installed at your home. After viewing the property and discussing the homeowner's needs, the soil tester typically digs three to five holes with a backhoe to view and handle the soils to determine the soil's drainage capability, the average high groundwater mark and signs of bedrock.
The Soil and Site Evaluation Report is prepared by a certified soil tester after examining the soils on your property. The report contains a detailed description of your soil and a site plan. The original report is sent to the appropriate regulatory office in the county in which your property is located.
Test holes are dug w/ a backhoe to a depth determined by native soil type, every site will be different. The soil tester will physically and visually evaluate color, consistency, texture, structure, roots and finally signs of bedrock or high groundwater. All of these criteria will determine what type of septic system the soil and state code will support.
Your onsite wastewater treatment system is one of the most expensive features of your home and you will want to protect your investment. There are a few basic things that you can do to extend the life of your system. When a septic system fails, it is usually because the drain field has become plugged and the effluent can not move through the soil.

We have used Associates Septic Services several times for pumping our residential septic tank. The staff has been professional, honest and polite along with providing advice for the future. They quickly get us scheduled and take care of the required reporting to the county. As a Customer Service Manager for water well services, I often recommended contacting Lance to callers in search of soil testing, septic inspections and pumping services. Appreciate the great service!

Associates Septic Services has a lengthy contract to pump my septic every 3 years paid via my tax bill collected by the county. They pumped my system 9/2018 (my inspection report that goes to the county had no issues) and in less than a month the system was overflowing the tank lids. It was last pumped is 2015 and had no issues until they pumped it. I contacted Lance Petrasek the owner and informed him something must have happened during the pumping for the system to stop working. He said, "I did nothing wrong, good luck" . I pressed the issue and he threatened to report the system to the county
