A few years later she pursued her dreams of becoming an Independent Designer and opened JY Design in 2009. We used JY Design in 2016 at a previous home and based on that experience reached out to them in 2020 when we were ready to embark on a major renovation at our new home. From start to finish Julie and Shelby have been professional, responsive and timely as we nearly gutted the main floor of our home. We had a few supply chain issues, but nothing significant, and they knew to order things early to meet our deadlines.The end result turned out beautifully, and their partnership with Remodeling Contractors is a bonus for anyone looking for expertise and efficiency in the home building/remodeling space

Julie and Shelby of JY Design LLC are wonderful and talented women. They listened to us, heard our likes and dislikes, and created a comfortable design, and no pressure!
We remodeled our main level, and they helped with closet organization, furniture, windows and decor. Their studio is amazing, and choices are unending. We love everything their designs reflect.

I first utilized JY Design several years ago when I was looking for window coverings for my master bedroom. It was a wonderful experience and I loved the result so when it came time to update several things in my thirty year old home they were the first design firm I called. Shelby and Julie were always quick to return a call or drop by the house for a consultation. They listened to me and took the time to determine my needs. We are very happy with our master bathroom remodel! Julie and Shelby helped us choose our floor and shower tiles, accent tile, countertops and paint color. They also designed the look of the glass shower which is a huge improvement over our previous bathroom. Julie and Shelby make a great team to help with any home projects!

Julie, who owns and manages JY, is an amazingly gifted designer. It all started with her communication and listening skills. She learned our budget concerns, perfectly understood our style and asked questions to make sure she was aware of our wants and needs.

I keep bringing Julie back to my home for more projects and the people I have referred her to keep bringing her back as well. Julie listens well to your vision, but steps in when needed for the perfect recommendations. I had such a great experience with JY Design! I worked with Shelby Silvers and she did an amazing job. For a new home owner, it can be overwhelming to try and pick and choose paint colors, new tile, etc. on your own. My husband and I wanted to do a remodel, but having us choose the designs by ourselves made us stressed. We hired JY Design and Shelby to come and make selections on our behalf, and wow, we were impressed! My bathroom and kitchen really has come along and I wouldn't be as happy if I didn't have Shelby's expertise. She has a good eye for making selections!

If you needs shades, blinds or window treatments, save yourself a lot of looking and headaches and call Julie Youngblade and have them done right. She carries far more lines than those available at Bed, Bath & Beyond or Lowe's and Home Depot, and Julie really knows the attributes of each company's products. She made the selection process very easy by quickly showing me samples of shades that had the color and opacity I needed. (In other words, I wasn't pawing through sample book after sample book.) Just having her professionally measure and order shades is worth it, as it is
