In short: Horrible experience. Unprofessional. No call/No Show. Poor communication. Messy/sloppy work. 6 week job took 8 months.
Long version: Hired Marshall and MHI to remodel a bathroom and basement and it was the worst decision we could have made. Marshall promises a great product on a good timeline and delivered a mediocre product on a ridiculously slow timeline. He had our house in shambles for months. We were his GC, his cleaning crew, and his touch up crew.

The owner was a no call no show. They verified appointment but never showed or called to explain why he did not showed up. Mhi was doing work at a neighbors house so they didnt have to come far to to provide consultation. I wouldn't recommend going with this company.

Please do not hire this company. It will take 9 months (if you are lucky) to complete what any competent company does in 6-8 weeks.
Our basement finish took 10 months and we had WEEKS go by without anyone on the job site. Marshall, the owner, constantly blames his other customers, his workers, his suppliers; however, in the end Marshall is just not good at what he does.He takes on too much work, over promises, and under delivers.

I selected MHI to complete my basement remodel after getting 4 quotes from other contractors. Marshall was not the cheapest but his prices were very competitive and I was able to go see his work first hand since his team was finishing another basement in a nearby neighborhood. Once I saw his work I was sold. They started the project in August and finished in January which was a little longer than the original timeframe quoted however, they finished over 2000 square feet that included a home theater and full kitchen with bar. The MHI team did an excellent job and didn't nickel and dime me for changes

We hired MHI for remodeling a kitchen and bathroom based on a referral from a friend who also used them for a project. The cost of the job was very reasonable and the workers were polite and friendly. Marshall was attentive to the quality of the work and wanted to be sure we were happy with the end product. We are now very pleased with our beautiful kitchen and bathroom that we love.

We requested an estimate on stair replacements and were hoping to use them for a few larger projects around our home based on the initial quality. Their website states they are residential contractors, after all. Unfortunately, they were very unprofessional and not interested in helping. The exact email received was: "Jodi - Unfortunately, we are a large scale remodeling company. You need a handyman." Based on the low reviews, I shouldn't have expected any better. Stay away.

DO NOT HIRE MHI. If I could give MHI zero stars, I would.
I beg all people reading this review not to hire MHI. My experience was like many of the others here, and yours will be the same. We hired MHI to finish our basement. We were told our project would be done in two months. It 8 MONTHS!
On a normal construction job, the crews show up consistently and the work is done as quickly as possible so they can move on to the next job. It appears what MHI does is commit to 50 jobs at one time, and as a result they have people on your job site one day every two weeks. They leave trash on the job site

Please do not hire MHI Remodel, Marshall is the owner. Project started Jan 6 and now Aug 30 and job still not complete. Was told it will be in done in 2 weeks back in May. Keep giving excuses as why he couldn’t come or get workers to come. No work got done for like a month. Then 1 day a week until we started pressing to get it done. Now no work or response for 2 weeks now. Communication was terrible and there were several confusion as what was getting done. We have been very understating. Never late or miss a payment but this is just bad business. Found this company through a friend but wish
