BEWARE! Please read the Yelp reviews about this company! Russel Shafer, owner of Texas Doors and Windows had quoted a price of $3,000 to me for two windows that he described as opening to the sides with a crank (casement windows) and wanted half of that money before ordering the windows. His crew installed two double hung windows and Russel tried to claim that was what we agreed upon. It was not. When I said I would keep the double hung, but would not pay the higher price of the casement windows he was rude and insulting. In the end I paid $2,500 for two windows, which after talking to several

The window in my living room was completely forgotten. They removed the window before they had a window to replace it with. So they replaced it with a board. The room is pretty much unusable now because its unsightly and very hot. It has been like this for SEVERAL weeks!! The owner doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to fix the window. We keep getting the run around. Last we heard, it would be fixed by Monday or Tuesday of this week. It is now Thursday and we have not heard anything. The owner, Russell, doesn’t understand why this is such an imposition for our family.

Called about some doors these guys installed in a house we just bought. The guy on the phone was so rude and unprofessional I actually at one point apologized for even calling him. This was before he started yelling at me saying he didn’t have time to talk to me. Funny thing is I never even got to the point of telling him I was calling to complain about a door they installed that was leaking and ruining our floors. He actually thought I was a returning customer. Can’t imagine how the conversation would have gone if I had been able to get to the reason of my call. I just hope the guy I spoke
