Mike and Cordel Brown are the owners of Essex Woodworking. Mike, started Essex Woodworking back in 1974 in the Chicago, Illinois area, where he built custom high-end furniture. In 1984 he moved his business to Denton, TX where he met his wife Cordel. Since the move to Denton, Mike has geared Essex Woodworking toward the commercial cabinet industry.
Mike has steared the equipment purchases toward the manufacturing of frameless cabinetry, the shop uses the metric system, ensuring precision during the fabrication process. Cordel started handling the front end of the business in 1993, she works with the end user on drawings and pricing. Our speciality is commercial plastic laminate cabinets and counter tops.
