Talked to Jared yesterday, showed up today while I was at work to start on the gate/fence outside. It was done by the time I got home and he was a rock star fixing hmm kitchen island drawers and changed the lockset on my front door all before dinner. Great guy, great job, reliable and a new go to guy when I need things fixed!

We hired Jared Wason to build a screened in porch in March. We were told we'd be staining by Christmas. We are now in February and we did not even have the permit. We bought this concern to Jared, who instead recommended his "best friend" of 15 years (Joe Parulski, JP Custom Carpentry) to complete the job. We were told we can trust him and that Joe "knew people" at the Wake County Office and can get the permit quickly.
After 10 months of waiting, Joe showed up and were supposed to be "prep the site" (we did not have the permit at this point) and next thing we know, he ordered all the material

Shout out with accolades about Big Monkey Renovation & Repair for quickly coming out to investigate the extent of rot found over my exterior garage door caused by the builder not applying flashing around the frame. Jared Watson quickly added us to his schedule; he and his experienced team did an awesome repair job and cleaned up the area afterwards. The price quote was fair and my husband and I really appreciated the July 10% off special plus the additional 10% military discount. My husband and I definitely recommend Big Monkey!

Jarad, the owner, and his crew were wonderful. After being stiffed by another contractor, Jarad stepped in and did beautiful work. The communication was spot on throughout the process and they cleaned up after themselves every day. We got the look we wanted and they were so easy to work with. Finished in three days. Highly recommend.

Jared is the best in town, his crew that came and did the work were the best around. His A-Team (Alex, Angel & Abelardo) along with Jason. They showed up early and were so respectful throughout the entire process. My husband is stuck working from home because of the pandemic and he said he barely noticed them. The crew was mindful of my husband and everything was done within the time frame they promised. We got a new patio door installed and of course some of the wall needed to be fixed as well. Let me tell you not one single piece of garbage was left you couldn't even tell they deconstructed the

Do not recommend big monkey repair company.. family member had a horrible experience with this company during a big mold renovation, they did a sloppy job and were only interested in money the whole time. The owner was not professional and could care less about his work. Would not recommend!

Jared and his crew are second to none. They turned a blank, boring wall in our house into an amazing bookshelf with built in lighting. Even though I was a smaller job for him, they rolled the red carpet out for us and did an incredible job.
If you are in/near Fuquay Varina and looking for a general contractor, you can't go wrong by giving Jared a call. I'm so glad I did!

Overall: Deck turned out okay, however forgetting to purchase and install weed barrier like in the quote did not go over well for me. For me, I just can't deal with Jared again for any project, he's too forgetful and scattered. I just don't think he does well on the business/administrative side of things which is VERY important for an owner. I would not recommend Big Monkey. Jared and his team are great to work with. He and I collaborated design ideas to update our fireplace this Spring.
He made extra runs just to find the exact corbel I wanted.
His team was prompt, kind, and always cleaned up at the end of the day.

Being new to the area, Big Monkey was reccommended to by someone I trusted. First thing I noticed and appreciated was the owners' authenticity as well as sense of urgency to get the job started and completed on time or sooner. As a result, I ended up retaining B.M. to practically customize my entire house including the (practically remodeling) the master bathroom (especially the shower) ceiling fans in every room, adding additional AC ducting and vent in master bedroom to increase efficiency of cooling, upgraded all hardware on all drawers and cabinets in entire house, installed H.O.A. compliant

Horrible experience. Would not refer to anyone. There are too many details to list on how Jared and his team at big monkey didn't satisfy the job they did. Based on their contact they state they will not request payment until they have finished the job and the customer is completely satisfied. At the end of the week, when the job was not even half way finished - they were requesting a check which was cashed. Since they had their money they did not make sure it was satisfactory work. The pictures I’m uploading are how they left the deck when they were done the first time. Not even nailed down
