Bottega, designs and manufacturers quality hand crafted outdoor furniture made of Ipe' wood. Bottega was founded by Bo Bauer of Dayton Ohio, and our design shop is located in Wilmington Ohio. Bottega furnishings are available through a network of representatives throughout the nation. Bottega furnishings have been installed in fine estates and resorts.
We feel like the quality of Bottega furniture is unsurpassed. We are often told that we are way over the top with our use of thicker material and huge mortice and tendon joinery. All or our joints are fit to perfection, glued with marine epoxy, and screwed with stainless steel screws. We make our own Ipe' plugs and match each one with the grain of the wood.
Bottega chose to use Ipe' Wood back in 2002. We are the pioneers in the use of Ipe'. We worked with all of the traditional woods, including teak, but found that nothing compares to the strength, durability, and natural beauty of Ipe'. It is much harder to work with than other woods, but in the end, we feel it is well worth the effort.
