When I called for a water heater repair, the phone was immediately answered. It was wonderful to have same-day service. The technicians were professional and the repair was completed quickly. I thought I had a leaky pipe- Bill came to give an estimate, and discovered that no leak was there... just my kids having dumped an entire humidifier in the vent accidentally. He didn't charge anything, told me how to get it dried out, and was super personable. I'd recommend him to anyone!

I've used Dempster plumbing over the last eight years for a variety of plumbing issues. I use them for my private residence and my rental properties. They come through every time! Twice I was out of the country dealing with them without a glitch. Dealt with them for a handful of emergencies (clogged main sewer line, and broken water heaters), which they handle swiftly. The only plumber I call when I need one.

We had an old leaking water heater. Bill came out and gave a very reasonable quote that day and then quickly replaced the heater. He also extended the vent and redid two elbows to increase the flue draft, plus extending the pressure relief outlet through the garage wall to the outside. I've worked in Facilities and know the codes fairly well, but Bill was even more knowledgeable. I'd definitely use him again for any plumbing needs.

I highly recommend Dempster Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. I used them to do a bathroom remodel... after only 2 weeks of hard work these guys transformed my unsightly bathroom in to bathroom that's not only more functional but beautiful!!! We have used Dempster plumbing to relocate a water heater when we bought our house ten years ago. Was a somewhat interesting and complicated project (due to installation of high efficiency condensing storage water heater) but was completed on time and passed all permit checks. Have not had any problems with it, the extra efficiency (and tax rebates) have let us recover the extra costs of a fairly exotic (at least at the time) water heater.
Using them again now for upgrade of gas pipeline, looking forward to a smooth job well done.

When I called on Friday early afternoon the dispatcher has told me that they could come only on Monday and I need to pay upfront $165 by credit card over the phone or in cash upon arrival of plumbers before they provide an estimate quote of the cost. If you don't like the quote, then they keep your $165 for just showing up.
I wouldn't exclude that they may do their job well, but what if they quote $650

Review was for a very slow draining kitchen sink repair. Contacted them via the Yelp app. Received reply right away. They were able to come the next day.
They called to prep me that they were coming the day of. Then they pinged me when the technician was close. I like that level of communication.
Fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Decent price for a plumbing house call.

Bill's stepson and coworker came out to put in a new kitchen sink faucet and fixed our leaking dishwasher. He was well mannered and very helpful. He even waited while I went to ACE to get a new hose so that he could install it.

Dempster is the company if you want the best! Everyone of the staff is excellent in what they do. They always reasonably priced and totally honest. Recently I started loosing water pressure on our high efficiency heater. Dell came and we tried to diagnose the problem together but more tests were needed which I ended up doing on my own and communicating the results back to Dell. Out of the blue he offers to come down and check this further. After an hour (and more tests), we had diagnosed the problem to a corroded anode on the water heater outlet.
We also had another episode where we thought we had a leak

Bill and his team recently did a full repipe (including trenching out to the main), new gas lines, and new kitchen plumbing for a renovation. He is, without exaggeration, the best plumber we've ever had.
For starters, he came by on short notice to bid the job, and got me the quote back within just a couple of days. He was able to schedule the job in a narrow window while we were out of town a few weeks later, and followed up a couple of times to confirm, including the day before.

Great experience using Dempster Plumbing. Bill the owner came out quickly to figure out a complicated sewer problem. Bill had previous experience with this type of issue and had a solution. He finished the project earlier than expected and personally coordinated the use of many different technicians including electricians, plumbers and manual labor. They cleaned up the yard beautifully and I have the utmost confidence in their work. Will definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs. Connie in the office also kept me up-to-date as the project progressed. That was really appreciated too. THANKS

Had Bill come out for an estimate of adding a new gas line, the job was done nicely and efficiently in 2.5 hours by two technicians. However my technician misunderstood me and inconveniently located the gas line 2 inches towards the left, just enough to not fit my new appliance.
Anyways, I called to have them come out again, and this time I have some other projects to be done.. But they just flaked out on my appointment this morning.
I will give them a second chance and see how it goes.

Reasonably quick at calling back, though don't expect because they say they are open until 7PM on Sunday that they will call you back on Sunday. Their plumber was also timely, showing up about 10 minutes before our appointment. Both signs of good customer service.

Updating my review - I have used Dempster Plumbing for five projects now. The latest is an entire kitchen remodel requiring a new gas line, electrical, flooring - the works! They did an amazing job in a very short period of time at a very reasonable cost. I am EXTREMELY happy with their work.
