Carl is fantastic. He did an AC addition to our existing central heating and I cannot recommend him enough.
Throughout the process he stayed in close touch despite the heatwave and no doubt a bunch of service calls. He worked very carefully and made sure we had AC working before he left despite some issues the thermostat I had purchased. At every point along the way when I had questions, he took the time to explain what was happening and choices I could make.
It was truly 5-star service- I highly recommend working with Carl!

Carl installed a new Heating/AC system in my San Diego home in June 2019. It was a complex replacement and this company made it a seamless experience. My wife and I used Mannino H &C once before to install a Nest thermostat and a few maintenance items. After hours on Friday I called and left a message for Carl that our air conditioner had stopped producing cold air. Early on Saturday he called back to say he would try and fit us in his schedule for that day.
Luckily he found the time and with a few parts he had available on his truck got our system functioning again. We truly appreciated his extra effort. And it was just in time; another heat wave is on the horizon!

Definitely use Carl for your HVAC needs. Mannino was the cheapest quote I received for central AC install by over $1000. The job took longer than expected due to having to unexpectedly relocate some of the original equipment, but they stayed into the evening and finished the job the same day. Couldn't be happier with the price and service.

I live in Lake San Marcos, called in on the hottest day of the summer (so far) because my AC wasn't working (I haven't used it in years, but I have a dog now). Carl answered and told me that today is the busiest day, so he couldn't come out (very politely), but he would call me first thing in the morning to set something up the next day, which he did and I respect that.
Came around 2:30pm next day, took apart the AC to make sure nothing looks out of the ordinary. Find out there was no power going to the AC unit, circuit breaker had to get reset. Also, he did something else but

The company is run by a trustworthy and hardworking man! It's a Saturday two days before Christmas. I called Mannino this morning because our heater was not working days before our house would be filled with guests. I have never used them before. The owner himself squeezed us into his schedule and showed up that afternoon after he had made his other calls. And worked for 2 hours to help us fix our heater instead of telling us to buy a new heater, he ran his diagnostics and went above and beyond to rule out other reasons why it wasn't working and saved us the bill of a new heating unit

I can't believe that I haven't reviewed before! Carl had been servicing our old dinosaur AC system for a few years now. Let's face it...a brand new system can be really expensive and Carl worked with us to help squeeze as much life out of it as we possibly could until it choked out its last breath. He got us a great deal on a new AC system that works perfectly at a great price.
He's a good, honest, decent guy...which is probably one of the highest compliments you can give nowadays. Fact.

We were in a real time pinch and needed an HVAC estimate asap in order to remove contingencies on our prospective new home. Two other HVAC companies had already not shown up as scheduled.
Carl promised to squeeze us in and showed up later in the day. He gave us a written quote by the next morning. We bought the house and called to get the work done.

I called this company on Saturday and was told someone would call me on Monday to make an appointment. No one called. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I knew it was a busy time and things happen, so I called them again. Was happy when someone answered and setup an appointment for 2:00 the following day. They showed up three hours late without calling, but they still showed up and we now have air. Yippee!

I live near the beach and had several high high quotes for AC in the past and had pretty much decided that I was destined to live without AC. Until I met Carl Mannino. I put that poor guy through the wringer. I asked him to quote many many different options only to settle in on the cheapest and I was to have another (flakey solar) contractor provide the power. When that didn't happen, Carl, just kept on plugging. The AC was one of four project that I undertook at the same time and the only one that was done early and under budget. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone

We were having issues with our furnace. Called Mannino after reading yelp reviews. Carl worked around my schedule and even showed up on weekend. He worked with me to diagnose and resolve the issue. Seemed honest about what might be the problem and didn't try to sell anything extra. Cost was quite reasonable.

Made two different appointments to fix the AC unit in our shop. It wasn't working right so my employees were very uncomfortable. The first appointment Carl could only stay a few minutes, couldn't find the problem and said he would come back in 1-2 days. After three days and no return, employees still cooking, I called and reminded him that he said he would come back to fix it. He comes in a couple days later, then says he doesn't have the time to stay and fix it. I remind him about the two appointments I've made and how my employees are suffering in the heat over these

Awesome experience. A/C broke yesterday so I called and left a message which was promptly returned this morning by the owner. Carl was here by noon and was able to immediately identify the problem and fix it for a fraction of what I thought I was going to have to pay. Most A/C guys will immediately try to convince you to buy a new system but Carl was actually the opposite and left me with the confidence of knowing that my 20+ year old system actually still has plenty of good years ahead of it. He was prompt, professional and an honest shooter. He now has another loyal customer!

I was traveling and came home to a hot house/hot weekend...not good for the family. While Carl wasn't able to come out as it was Friday late afternoon...he walked me through the diagnosis and got me back up and running that night. I communicated w/Carl through out the weekend to get a permanent fix, even while Carl was out at an event on Sat evening.
There is one more step that i need to do to enable a back up....i tried but it didn't work, i'm going

Found Mannino on Yelp whike searching for a company to maintenance my rental unit. I spoke to Carl to set up an appointment and was very flexible working with not only my work schedule but my tenants as well, especially in June when its prime business for installations and repairs! Sam arrived to my unit and did a thorough inspection of everything and advised what all needed to be done but would have to reschedule for another day because he didn't have all necessary supplies with him? The next day Carl himself serviced my unit and was done within 45min. Carl lowered the total due to unavailability

Mannino Heating & Cooling is one of the most professional firms I've encountered when it comes to HVAC knowledge and service. He explained how the ductwork often has leaks or poor design that keeps the furnace or A/C from working efficiently. There is specialized equipment that Carl Mannino uses to test the integrity of the ventilation system that is used by only one other company in all of San Diego county. I highly recommend them as a contractor to anyone who wants to keep cool or stay warm.

He did a full diagnostic on the AC, discovered that a few of the parts went bad. The furnace needed a standard tune-up. It was a painless and inexpensive visit. My AC unit broke during a heat wave on a Friday evening. I called Mannino Heating & Cooling at 8am the next morning and Carl was able to come out on the same day. He was able to quickly identify and correct the problem, while explaining the things that every home owner should know to properly maintain their HVAC systems. He was also happy to answer some general questions I had about filters, ducts and thermostats. Pricing was fair. Carl was honest and professional. Overall great service. Highly recommend.
