I highly recommend Nickels Energy Solutions if you are considering going solar. This is a very professional company that is not just out there to sell you solar. The sales person and system designers took the time to make changes to the system configuration until we were both satisfied that we were purchasing the system that fulfilled our power, financial, and appearance concerns.
The entire company worked quickly to obtain all the necessary permits and had the system installed very soon after. THE SYSTEM LOOKS GREAT ALSO! The inverters are installed under the solar panels so you don't see the ugly boxes and conduit sitting on the roof like I have seen in installations by other companies.
Kevin and Steve were the first to get a quote to us, came in with a great price and offered excellent products. It was comforting to have one of the owners (who is also an engineer) up on the roof doing the installation along with another engineer. Everything went smoothly and they kept us up-to-date throughout.

Just absolutely phenomenal experience getting solar installed on our roof. My wife, initially hesitant, said "wow, that's badass!" while reviewing the completed work. Everyone was super friendly and helpful throughout the process. Our home is 200+ years old, and they took the time to add additional support to brace the roof. Can't recommend enough!!

Steve and Kevin Nickels and their crew were a pleasure to work with. They were helpful, responsive, prompt, polite, friendly and did an outstanding job. Our ground mount solar system in Cazenovia has been producing enough power to cover our needs and bank some extra for the coming winter months since it was installed in September. We would highly recommend NES to anyone considering a solar system.

NES went above and beyond to help us get panels on our roof! They communicated with our roofers to time their installation quickly after the roof was installed. Kevin and his brother Steve made a few very informative visits and answered my emails and calls right away. We have been following the energy production of our panels on an App and it has been matching or exceeding the expected output estimated by NES! Recently had a solar system installed at my property by Steve and Kevin, great guys to deal with! They took care of everything. The system was installed mid August and I am very happy with everything with only 2 weeks of producing power and it covered the whole month August, naturally having great sunny weather helped 😊. If you're planning on going solar I would highly recommend these guys!!!

I love my solar panels. But more important, Nickels did a great job. The customer service was unparalleled and this was important because there were additional complications doing the job in the city of Syracuse. The job was delayed a number of times due to inspections and site visits by national grid but Nickels kept me informed at every step of the way. They also did a great job of cleaning up after each step.
