Expect “surprise costs”, slow work, and poor communication.
We signed our agreement with Specialty in July of 2020. It wasn’t until March 2021 when our pool was completed and we conducted our final walkthrough. I’m not sure if this is standard timing for pool construction, but it’s certainly not the 2-3 months we were promised upon signing with the company.
We are about 10k over the budget I was promised.
It is now March 4th. They still have issues to correct on my pool. Two sales people came out to look at my issues. After looking at the issues I waited 4 business days for my project

Why are the reviews so old? After the service I received today. I waited a month for my appointment they called and confirmed then after they no showed I received a call from a guy who was Bee s-ing me and more worried about pricing then what I wanted in a pool. The lady who was actually supposed to show up never called. He said she would call later today or come by later today and never did. Can you imagine waiting a month for an appointment to have a confirm then just not brother to call or text. Wasted my day waiting around.

I had met with several pool companies before I met with Specialty Pools. I had decided to go with another company when SP name popped up. Best decision I've ever made. From the moment I had them give me a quote to present they have been most professional. Mary worked very close with me on every detail. Dave was at the house constantly making sure all was perfect. I got their name of Home Advisors and got an immediate phone call to set up an appt with Clint the following week. Within the week I got 3 more phone calls from them and they did not realize I already had an appointment set. Clint came out and we thought it went really well but it has been a month now and now word from him on the estimate or design he promised. I called last week and asked them to have Clint call me and still no call back. Have taken them off the list!!!!

What a disappointment! We were looking forward to have this company come out and qoute us for a remodel and they texted me 10 mins before my appointment to give me a quote over the phone. Seriously? He said they over booked him. If you can't even come to my home and give me a quote why should we spend thousands of dollars on a remodel with your company? I understand things happen but you text me 10 mins before an appointment to tell me about a double booking. Then try to give me a quote over the phone!

I have worked with Bill Miller for well over 10 years, he fantastic to work with as a Landscaping Company, and now Pool Builder. He certainly has the experience, and the knowledge to make sure your Gilbert Pool or Scottsdale Pool gets built right the first time. I like the fact that he brings all the latest technology and features to your dream pool. He can build it in 3D First and then help you go from their to reality.

I had Specialty Pools build our pool complex after an extensive screening process involving 8 builders. His pricing was good and he seemed to really care about our wants and budget.
I was very pleased I made the decision. Bill says what he will do and then makes it happen. If there are construction issues he handles them - no hassles for the owners. He is very proactive and communicates well.
If I had to do it again I would rehire Bill and Specialty pools.

Very happy with the experience. We have a bigger than normal backyard which meant more area to talk about and a lot more details to go over. From the first time we met Bill we felt very comfortable with him as a person and as an expert in pools. Throughout the process there was a lot of good communication from him. He gave us a few ideas that we would have never thought of and used them. Even after the fact his communication has been great. We would highly recommend Bill!!

From start to finish, the process was easy and on time. We loved the 3 d design element. From being able to see what the final picture would be, we were set to go.
