I have spent a summer remodeling a house and dealing with contractors. One of those contractors was Michigan Solar Solutions, MSS. They basically delivered everything that they promised. In the beginning they gave a timeline of everything that had to happen from applications to final inspections. There was plenty of paperwork involved, and everything went as planned, and there was great communication throughout the process. I have been super impressed with how they have handled everything. I wish all of the contractors were this professional.

I’d been looking forward to going solar for years and took a fair amount of time vetting companies before going with Michigan Solar Solutions. That was a mistake.
I can say their install crew does great work. Even the inspectors said as much based on their history reviewing their jobs. Sadly, the back office is the exact opposite and that dysfunction has made the whole experience very frustrating.
The highlight of the failure is that a half dozen panels were installed in the wrong place due to a miscommunication between their teams, and I’m being charged just shy of $1,000 to fix it.

I was having issues with my system that was being managed by a national company. Went without solar for three months. They came out three times and could not fix it. I switched to Michigan Solar Solutions and they had my system up and running in 30 minutes. The national company had wired everything backwards. THREE TIMES. Michigan Solar Solutions is now my monitoring company as well. They were more than helpful and wonderful to work with. Thank you. It is refreshing to find a company that still cares about people.

We are very pleased with the solar panel installation from Michigan Solar Solutions. The installation took two days, and there were several inspections over a period of two weeks, and we are now connected to the grid and making much of our own electricity. Sunny days take on a whole new meaning! The installers were very careful of our landscape plantings, and cleaned up inside where they had to enter the attic which has loose, cellulose insulation.
