BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY DEPARTMENT NEGLECT BEWARE
First Texas warranty department literally destroyed an upgraded vent hood we selected and now are telling us we have to live with unacceptable repairs. We have been very patience for over a year and after the 8th visit this week at their attempt to fix it I'm just livid. The stainless steel is warped and the install looks nothing like it looked at final walkthrough before they came it to repair another issue with the wall. DO NOT BUY with FTH if you want superior outstanding workmanship or good customer service.

To be honest we love our home design.

It needs a new paint job after 5 years. (We lived in our previous home for 12 and didn't need a paint job).

The major issue I have is the stone on the outside of our home is falling apart. The mortar is literally cracking and falling apart. This was "fixed" during our initial walk through. One would think this is structural but it is not covered. So if the actual brick/stone is falling off the home it's not covered.

First Texas Homes Warranty Response:

"No, the stone does not hold the home up. Structural components are ones that

I just moved into my First Texas Home two months ago and it's been and it's been a headache. Despite this being a new build, everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING has to be fixed.

1. The tankless water heater stopped working the first week and I had icy cold water in my shower

2. There was air coming through my balcony door

3. The HVAC is a joke. It's been "fixed" six times in two months - and it's still not working correctly. When the system is off, it blows out hot air when it's hot outside and cold air when it's cold inside.

4. The facet in the kitchen

Our experience with Kim (Sales) and Jim (Project Mgr) was awesome! They really care and try hard! They were also open to all of our suggestions regarding modification during the planning stage. Our problem with First Texas Homes is the quality of the craftsmanship as well as the poor quality materials used. It appears that most of the matrerials used to build our house were procured with only price in mind. Within the first four years we've had numerous failing receptacles and breakers throughout. All toilet seats have broken and been replaced, the engineered hardwood is delaminating, the

Buyer beware - Our home was built as we agreed upon. The issue you need to be aware of is the HVAC. L&S mechanical is contracted through First Texas Homes. We have had nothing but issues with our HVAC. We keep getting told its a builder grade system and it will only cool 20 degress cooler than the outside. That means if its 105 outside it will olnly cool to 85. They have changed vents and now they have moved out=r thermostat into a bedroom.

My last home was built in 2001 and you could hang meat. If you have someone else come out to check the system they will void your warranty. Our neighbors

I'm still getting inbox messages from others asking about my experience with First Texas. RUN and go with another homebuilder if you can.

If you can't find a Google review OR a Facebook review on them, it's for a reason! It's because they don't want you to know how terrible they are in regards to customer service and with building.

Also check out the reviews on the Better Business Bureau at https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/dallas/profile/home-builders/first-texas-homes-inc-0875-8000500/customer-reviews

I really like my new First Texas home, and appreciate the work they did. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, and that's why they have the warranty period... which has been very responsive whenever I've brought something up. To me, they've all seemed like really good and honest people.

One thing they mentioned a few times during the final walk was that they'll come out once to touch up paint/crack/caulk issues, so you wait until the warranty period (year) is nearly up before submitting those issues.

Overall, excellent!

Buyer beware this business they will find ways to cancel your contract wherever possible when they know they can get more for the house with another buyer. This is very common practice by First Texas Homes when it's a seller market.

Walked in to look at floor plans that were not available to see at the Sutton fields community in Celina (even though I called beforehand and was told they were). The girl that works there (from Arizona -she didn't even give her name) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She gave my kids dirty looks and then continued to give me an attitude and multiple dirty looks with while I was asking questions. I couldn't take the rudeness any longer and left. I am completely mortified and wouldn't even think about visiting this community again if that's the face of their community. We

Worst Customer service and worst sales Service of Gallery Custom homes - (First Texas Homes) that we experienced. Worst Sells person they changes price and deceives customer randomly, they don't communicate properly no matter how many times customer tries to reach them with any issue, they it takes them few months and weeks to reply but they don't want to fix the issue when they make mistake after notifying and they charge customer arms and legs to fix their mistake. Sale person don't communicate with builder and put customer in a place that makes the life miserable. Bad customer

Worst builder in texas.
Where do i start
1. Found dead tree and grass in my yard. Complained about it in my walkthrough. They just told me its green inside and it will somehow be alive later. Its been 3 months and the tree in my front yard is still dead and after repeated requests they just say it will come back
2. Carpets have nails sticking out. SERIOUSLY!!! I have a 2 year old and i am always super worried. When i complain, they tell me to just hammer it yourself. I have hammered like 50 of them already. Everyday i suddenly find a nail sticking out somewhere when i suddenly get pricked.

This company cares very little about the actually customers. We put $2,000 on a contract right before the COVID. Due to the COVID we lost alot of money and work schedules changed and can't afford to build now. I asked since things have changed drastic if we can get our $2,000 back since we can't build at this time and they said no. I'm so disappointed with this company and their willingness to help during a time of struggle in the world. Also during the COVID time we got no calls checking on us regarding this situation. I would never recommend this builder.

I wish there was more useful reviews on home builders, so here is mine from the beginning of the process. We signed with First Texas Homes/ (Gallery Homes) to build us a home in phase 21 of Woodbridge in Wylie (right behind Target), in August 2019, it is now December, trenching for our home is complete and plumbing is scheduled. So far the process has been as expected, although perhaps a little long to begin actual construction from the time we signed, but c'est la vie. Originally we were planning on building with Megatel, but their floor plans were less than impressive (sorry, but literally

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!! BELIEVE EVERY NEGATIVE REVIEW YOU READ, GO TO BBB.ORG and definitely take heed to the warranty related reviews. They throw these homes together, mark the price up and then give you this "huge" price reduction you make you think you're getting a deal. Reality is...you're getting a huge headache. #buyerBeware

First Texas Homes delivers a horrible product while intentionally deceiving their customers in order to save money and increase their profit. Their "upper management" is rude, executes bad business practices, and sets the example of how tactically mislead their customers, accept no responsibility for their intentional corner cutting, and take as much profit as possible regardless of the ethical and moral sacrifice that is required. The list of horrible experiences we have suffered while working with this despicable company is so long that I would not be able to fit it all here, so I will

An attorney representing First Texas Homes recently emailed me a letter threatening to sue me for defamation because I told some of their potential homebuyers about our home building experience with First Texas Homes and about issues with the roof they installed on the home we contracted them to build for us. Apparently, First Texas Homes has decided it is more cost effective to sue me rather than replace a roof.

First Texas Homes installed the roof when the materials were wet. We know this for two reasons: 1) because the roof warped badly, and 2) because the neighbor witnessed the roof installation

We relocated from Denver, Colorado to Wylie, Texas and knew we wanted to build with First Texas Homes before even visiting a model. We did our due diligence beforehand. We looked at their financials (it took some digging, as they are not public), their BBB record, and hundreds of reviews from other First Texas Homes owners. We drove through neighborhoods and spoke directly with homeowners on their lawns in several communities (Garland, Celina, Prosper, McKinney, Frisco, Plano). Everyone we spoke to just loved their home. They did give us some "pay attention to..." advice that we

So we built a first texas home in their first "luxury neighborhood". Homes in these neighborhoods start at about $400,000 and go all the way up to $800,000+. When we first moved into our home we noticed that it takes an incredibly long time for the water to heat up in our sinks. I've timed it up to 4 minutes before. The amount of water we have to waste to get hot water is ridiculous. When they sent their warranty person out to fix it, he basically told us there was nothing he could do.

Second, they gave us these energy efficient toilets that barely fill up with water. When you

Disgusting, Unethical, Cretinous, and downright Dirty.....

I was in the process of purchasing a home within the Silver Creek Meadows subdivision and lets just say from the manager, Jesse Browning, to the other manager Kat, down to the loan officer with Bank of England Jeron Allen, the entire situation was built on a LIE.

From the start, there was no negotiation on the price which shouldve been a huge red flag from there. They didnt provide the HOA documents until 1 week prior to close ( I never closed because of the LIE the loan officer stated ). This entire process was disgusting, the customer
