Outstanding experience with Nic! Our 41-year-old garage door had just about fallen apart, and the other one had a hole in it, and one call got us an immediate call back, same-day visit, and two brand-new doors installed next day. The springs on your garage door are one of the most important moving parts on your garage door, and one of the most common parts to break. If you have a broken spring the door will not go up. Springs are designed to counter balance the weight of your garage door. The garage door opener is only designed to lift/push 35 pounds when your garage door springs are properly installed your door should be counter balanced at about 12-18 pounds.

Called twice and left very clear messages for service based on a friends referral/recommendation. Nic never called, never texted....no response ever. So, I called Maynards Garage Door Repair who immediately responded and immediately came to replace belt, sensors, panel, etc. within days. Chris at Maynards was SO prompt, so friendly and helpful! Call them instead....unless you want to be ignored!

I needed minor adjustment on my garage door. I got 3 different companies in mind to fix it. First one wanting exorbitant fee just to come and estimate. Second one would come 2 days later. Nic got in touch with me the next day, and he said he'd come right away. He found what was wrong with the door, made the adjustment, and it runs smooth once again. Of course he got service call fee, he was upfront with it, and it's reasonable, and that's exactly what he charged me.
I have read some bad reviews about Nic, but I can understand how hard it is working with a crew of one. I am satisfied

Our garage door wouldn't open ( worked fine last night) it was oblivious that one of the springs broke. :( due to being an oversized garage door we couldn't open it manually. I called Nick in a panic after finding him on Yelp. He was out within 4 hours and completely replaced the springs and barrings. He didn't try sell me a new door opener said ours was still good ( 18 years old) I appreciate his honesty and professionalism.

I have never written a 1 star rating before...
I called Nic b/c he is literally 4 blocks from my house, and I figured it would be great to support a very local business.
Nic came out to fix the gaps in our garage door. Roots had raised the center of our garage floor, and there was a 1 to 1 1/2" gap from the sides to the center of the floor.
Nic said he could cut triangles to fix the gaps, and put on a new weather seal for 200 - 250 bucks. It was right in line with what I thought.
On the scheduled day ( 1 week later ) he texted and said his saw was broken. I offered him mine to do the

Great experience. We were hoping our old funky garage door would limp along until we finalized remodeling plans, but it split in two one afternoon and we were left with an open garage in winter. Nick was able to come out the next day, and we had our new garage door picked out, ordered, and installed within a few days. Super affordable too, and no high pressure upsell. I think Nick is a one-man operation so keeps his costs low for customers. Would definitely use him again.

Nic was the first of four bids to respond and was able to come over the next day. I chose DGE because the price was in-line with the others but had a tighter variance, his willingness to come the next day, and he accepts credit card. Nic showed up earlier than anticipated and was communicative the entire time. The work was perfect to get our door working again and I would use this company in the future for those reasons.

I had an accident with my garage door and it got knocked off the track. I saw that that Nic has excellent reviews so I gave him a call. Thankfully he was able to come out the same day and make an assessment. 2 days later he made the repairs and my garage is better than before. Nic is very professional, knows his trade and comes very prepared. Super nice, I highly recommend him! Thanks again Nic :)

Nic was truly amazing. Called him on a Saturday when our garage door suddenly stopped working, after being in our new home less than a month. He was able to come out the following Monday (a holiday). Gave us a 2 hour window but was able to come early (And texted first). He was professional and quick. Even added a pull string and oiled everything up, and did it for $25 less than what we were thinking! I was given a quote to replace a wooden garage door that was over fifty years old. The manual mechanics to operate the door were failing, so time to replace.
Nic gave me a very reasonable price, about $300 below the same door product from another company.
Upon purchasing the door, Nic had the old door removed and began installation of the new door, by himself in near 90 degree weather, without hardly taking a break.
The entire installation was completed in less than eight hours

Excellent! Nic did a great job on a couple of complex projects. One commercial unit he swapped out for residential was very high up and he was able to get it all done very quickly and efficiently. I had several other companies look at that one and they never followed up or returned my calls. Definitely recommend.
