In 1960, Frank Romero founded Frank's Septic Pumping and became the New Mexico valley's first septic pumper. For 10 years he was the only pumper in the valley. He also became the first to have an EID approved liquid waste dumpsite. For 25 years, he pumped tanks in Tome and Jarales, pumped water out of basements when the High Line Canal burst in 1969
