Our rugs are made out of 100% wool. They are woven on a two-foot pedal loom. This loom was introduced to the Zapotec weavers by the Spanish during the take over of Mexico. Mel Mendez first learned how to weave at his parent's home in a small town in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico called Teotitlan del valle.
