Lack luster service. The technician poured a bottle of some chemical i could of bought at the store. They stressed signing up for the special after a quick service which did nothing for the fruit flies. Overall they start off nice and friendly and are just money hungry. Disrespectful and rude are the mildest descriptor i have for them. Barrier is the true pest in the long run!

Do not use! Door to door salesman will say anything like "cancel at anytime", we will get rid of any pests, "neighborhood discount", etc. it's all a lie. They will try to get you in contract, continue to schedule appointments that you never scheduled and won't cancel unless you pay additional money. They are very defensive and will lie about what was said or done.
Mind you, when they come out for "service" they use store bought products to dump down your drain and spray white stuff inside your house for ants, none of which truly works.

My experience with Summit was horrible. They fought with me and refunded my money after visiting multiple times and still had ants. Barrier is a breath of fresh air. I was first greeted with a pleasant woman who answered my questions and took my appointment. She didn't rush me and explained the pricing and services they provided.
Chris was on-time and showed up in the 2 hour window provided. He was friendly and answered all my questions. He sprayed indoors and sprinkled granules outside. Summit sprays during the fall and winter.

They always come when they say they will, we have a quarterly service but I’d we see any pests in between they are usually able come out within a few days.
We had a reoccurring ant problem and they sent a specialist who tracked down a huge nest in an old green in our yard and after taking care of that our annual ant problem has been a lot smaller.
Their billing process is super easy and they have great customer service.

There is no way we will ever use this company because they ignore No Trespassing and No Soliciting signs, go door to door, are rude when you point out they have no business there, and otherwise embody the very pests that one might hire a service to eradicate.
On top of that, my complaint to the management was met with a sarcastic "I'm sure there are two sides to that story." So my takeaway is they are encouraged to be aggressive, to ignore signs that most other vendors seem to understand, and to get out and hustle for business regardless of their impact.

We have used Barrier Pest Control for probably 5 years now. 4 services/year at approximately $99. each visit. The technicians are always considerate and work hard. In general, they have done a good job, with the exception of not having enough yellow jacket traps on hand. Today, I requested that we go down to 2 visits/year. The cost: $175 EACH VISIT. What the??!!! So now, they get...ZERO. Less chemicals. Less time..Folks, it's gonna cost ya! I'm disgusted, quite frankly. I'm reasonably sure(lol) that I can find another service that won't price gouge me quite so much

We had our initial service last week and Jorge was fantastic. He was very thorough and worked quickly. He certainly knew what he was doing as he explained each step and we talked about controlling various pests both inside the home as necessary. I also have to commend Jorge on his patience with all the questions my kids kept throwing his way. We are new customers but we are happy with the referral we got from a family member and look forward to working with them in the future.

We have been with Barrier for a couple of years and have been quite satisfied with their service. We can call when the quarterly treatments are not adequate enough to control our ant problems and a technician will come back out within a couple of days. Just recently Jorge came out and we are very happy with his expertise in finding the ant sources and eliminating the problem. Jorge was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.

Barrier has done a fantastic job for us providing excellent communication and timely service. I was especially grateful for the outstanding customer service provided by Salvador on the last visit. He explained all the areas he had taken care of before coming home and then sprayed inside, explaining in detail what he was doing and how the chemicals were not toxic to me, my family, or pets. He was also very gracious with our big dog sniffing around him every minute.

We have been using barrier for a few months and they have made a world of a difference. We used to have daily squeals of "squish it" now we rarely find spiders in the house.

We have found Barrier to be a very reliable and service oriented company. We had and ant problem this week and they responded in just a couple of days. While he was here I asked him about some mice we've found. He did a perimeter check which pointed out some places that they could be getting in, set out traps inside and poison outside by their holes.

Route manager Jeremiah Wilson with barrier pest control stopped by and talked to my wife while I was at work. He talked to her for about 15 minutes, dropped a card off, and that was it.
Another company's route salesman came by, walked my wife around our house and yard, pointed out a basketball sized wasp nest and several smaller ones, as well as detailed how and why they would treat other areas

What sets them apart is their follow-up. If we have a problem, a technician is usually back at our place within 48 hours. We have had to have various nests (hornets, wasps, yellow jackets) removed at times that do not coordinate with our regular service.
Additionally, and to some this may be a negative, one of our dogs at a mouse likely poisoned by the stuff inside one of Barrier's rodent traps
