Paul came out earlier this week for a second opinion on a pool line leak. He diagnosed it in 20 minutes and just finished fixing it. I had dealt with another service for the past 6 weeks who came out twice and did not locate the leak.

Paul with Uptown Pool Services was AMAZING!!! Our motor stopped working due to bearings and being damaged from a previously neglectful pool company. The pricing was very fair with a 3 year warranty AND he came out the same day since he had the upgraded Pentair pool pump we needed. He also didn’t charge us an extra $200-300 pool assessment fee (which 3 of the 6 pool companies I called wanted to charge me to even give me an estimate on replacing the pump even though we already had a service assessment done). Other companies were also going to take 1-3 weeks to come out to do the quick replacement

Avoid this company at all costs. Paul Brandt is an unprofessional business owner and a con. I had contacted him to repair a broken pump, heater and plumbing as well as repair broken tiles and regrout around our waterfall. I also asked to upgrade our jandy to the wireless system. He was initially very responsive and came out same day for a quote. Price seemed reasonable and we agreed on a price. He came the next day. Asked for half up front to buy the materials (seemed legitimate). After disappearing for hours at a time he eventually came back and finished most of the work.

Uptown Pool Services is an outstanding service provider. Paul came to my house, we discussed what services were necessary, and he was back the next day with all the equipment and materials necessary to replace my old worn out pump and manifold system. I could not have asked for a better job. Other pool professionals that have seen the work are impressed and have commented on what a nice job it is. Paul is honest and discusses what services are necessary. I would recommend Uptown Pool Services for any necessary pool work.

Taylor was great showing up an hour after I called...seems like a great guy initially..."I got you, couple of weeks to do it, pool will look sparkling". Fast forward to today...I have been trying for 2 months to get Taylor to finish repairs on my pool which I paid $10k. Same Story as many of the reviews. Makes promises and never follows through and you have to hound him to get things. After promising to install and repair a chlorinator and stop by numerous times, he know indicates

They tried to sell me an expensive option right away. Then acted like they called someone at the business to get a lower price, slightly. After he left, he called back with an even lower price and said it was the end of the month and they needed sales. He said I'd have to pay via Venmo to keep it off the books. I suggested a lower price in return for a glowing review, and a document with estimate of his work, material and warranty. He agreed and said he needed good reviews. He never showed up. Thank god. What was I thinking? Avoid! Danger!

Got connected through HomeAdvisor. Paul Brandt was very friendly during the estimation and took a deposit. That’s the only time he showed up. After 7 no shows and two month later I’m still waiting for the last potion of the deposit. Had to make 4 phone calls and over 10 messages to get a partial deposit. He repeatedly lied and made excuses for delaying the pool heater installation project. Dishonest business, I do not recommend.
Update: They only refunded a part of the deposit so far. I will update when they fully refund.

Update: Paul was finally able to get back with me. Paul is a great guy just very busy right now. Paul came out after hours to get us fixed up. Although our problem was an easy fix he took his time and gave me some great info for next time. We will use them again.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a workman. I found Paul from an Angie’s List referral. Beware of the good reviews that you see here. I do not believe that they are legitimate reviews. There are paid services that post 5 star reviews written by the owner. Paul will promise, take your money and never complete the work. He was very persistent with follow up until he was paid. Then he left the job and promised to return to complete it and never came back. We have tried for two months to get him to finish the job, contacted him many times, he always promises to come but

I was waiting weeks for my previous pool company to get back to me on my broken pool equipment following the winter storm in February. After so many calls I had to seek elsewhere. I wish I would have contacted Uptown Pool Services sooner!! I scheduled a consultation on a Thursday, they arrived the next day and assessed the damages and worked with them on a game plan.
The replacement job to get my pool back in working shape looks incredible. He even went above and beyond to spray the pvc to keep it protected (love it!!). Cleaned up everything after too.

Uptown Pool Construction replaced the heater, accomplished plumbing repairs and installed new valves that occurred during the recent winter storm . This was all accomplished within 2 hours. The technician was professional and polite. The site was cleaned up. I would use Uptown Pool Construction in the future.

Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation by avoiding this company. I spent several weeks sending emails, texts, and phone calls to schedule repair on my pool. Rarely did Paul respond in a timely manner, which I consider inconsiderate at best. When he did finally respond and set a time, he did not show up and did not let me know he was not coming. I find that disrespectful as I had to stay home the entire time waiting for him to show up. I am sure many other pool companies will be more than glad to repair my pool in a timely manner.

Paul, the service tech, who I'm convinced runs a one man business, came as a preferred vendor from Select Home Warranty (who is another company I will never ever do business with also). Paul missed the first appointment, didn't even call, just didn't show up. Then he came and pressured me to pay out of pocket for the pool pump service, reassured me that the warranty should cover the work for sure, I meant that's why I paid for it right. He manhandled the pool pump once I finally agreed to pay for the install up front so he could get paid, and my motor was completely seized so
