Select and purchase your finish materials according to the project schedule. Not having ordered finish materials by the scheduled date is one of the main reasons construction is delayed. Kim Walker is a man of integrity. Once an agreement is made, he stands behind every bit of it. Our house was completed right on schedule even though there were many enhancements and modifications as the building was in progress.

Make three separate lists: 1) attributes your new home must have, 2) attributes you'd like for your new home to have, 3) attributes you'd like but could do without. We are extremely happy in our new home and have received numerous compliments. It is with no hesitation and with great pleasure, that we highly recommend our contractor and friend to any prospective client.

Walker Homes has been remodeling and building custom homes in the Silicon Valley since 1988. As a native Californian, Kim Walker spent his early childhood in beautiful Lake Tahoe before moving to the San Francisco Peninsula where he spent his teen years. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he managed a semi-conductor company in the South Bay before getting his contractor's license.

The sample bid begins with Demolition Line Item 245 (the construction phase). Prior to construction is the Designs or Drafting phase, which can vary in cost depending on the design and the number of iterations. Permit fees vary as well. In this, example the permits from the City of Los Altos were around $1,800 (excluding Plans).
