Kevin Capps founded the Company in 2000. As Owner of K.C.Customs, Inc. Kevin has put in place over $30,000,000 of installed construction in the Bay Area, including residential and commercial projects. Kevin oversees the Project Development/ Pre-construction phase, Estimating, and Financial Management functions of the business.
Interface with Architect/Designer throughout the design process providing cost analysis at each design phase (Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents). We will also give you access to our job site live video feed, which we use to monitor schedule performance and security. We also provide a cloud based project portal, where you can view the schedule, progress photos, pending decisions, and the current budget 24/7.
We're proud to work with the Bay Area's finest Architects and Designers. If you wish to work with an architect or designer, we'll be happy to recommend one that is a good match for the style and scope of your project. If you already have one for your project, we will be happy to work with them throughout the process.
K.C. Customs & Remodeling created a wonderful open concept kitchen and family area for our home. The project was completed on time and we were well informed during the construction process. I booked a consultation almost 3 weeks in advance. On the day of the appointment I stayed home from work to meet him. I even received a reminder text an hour before the scheduled time. I wait all through lunch into the afternoon but he never shows up. I then get a text thanking me for the appointment and to leave feedback. What? I go check my email and realize he sent an email 10 minutes after the confirmation text telling me he's not coming because he has too many projects and doesn't have time! He couldn't have told me that at any point during the three weeks leading up to my consultation

We contracted with KC Customs & Remolding to design a single family home with an option to also hire them as the contractor.
We supplied KC with our initial design, a full design to scale of the home we wanted built.
We worked with KC Customs & Remolding for about 9 months. During that time KC provided no constructive improvements to our initial design. The only produced the required plans for permit submittal. These documents were full of error. This resulted in 8 pages of correction the City required for the design documents. Corrections which KC subsequently charged us to correct.

Went to a home show a couple of years ago and they had a booth there. I was interested in finding a contractor to remodel our 5' x 6' half bathroom downstairs. We had all the materials: tile, etc..just needed a good contractor to put it all in.
We set up an appointment for an estimate and the owner with designer consultant came out. they had a very good presentation of their company and an impressive portfolio. Very professional. They took their time listening and scoping out what we wanted done. They left and said they would be stopping by with an estimate later in the week.

I am just now writing this review, but my experience with contacting K. C. Customs and Remodeling, Inc. occurred at the end of April. Now that my project is completed thanks to another remodeling company in Campbell (Thank You Linda!) I want to Yelp K. C.. I contacted them for a small addition and kitchen. I was told at a home show months earlier that they had a good design department to go with the construction portion and was shown example work. I found out in June that they don't have any true architectural-based designers, although they had a very nice young woman named Ophalia who

We used KC Customs to remodel a small guest bathroom, and we couldn't be happier with the result. We particularly liked working with our Project Manager, Mike F. He was wonderful, and we hope that if you engage KC, you get the opportunity to work with Mike, too. They went the extra mile to get our bathroom done right before our guests and the new baby arrived. They stayed on the timeline and on budget. Mike F would respond to every phone call or text ASAP, and he would update us each day on the progress and planning for future work. The whole process was nothing like some of the horror

KC Customs provided us with a proposal for the construction of a new single family residence. They did a good job with the proposal and presentation. It was thorough and Kevin (the K in KC) had some good ideas for how our design could be improved upon.
We didn't select KC for our general contractor since they were the highest bidder for our particular project. Still, as a design & build firm, they bring a lot to the table.
