All Regency wood inserts, fireplaces, and stoves have been EPA certified. I can’t begin to say how lucky I was able to have worked with Murphy’s Fireplace in replacing my old wood stove and the masonry work that needed to be done. They were awesome through the whole process and very patient with me when it came to installing my new wood stove, even after I changed my mind a couple of times about the final product. We are in process of having ledger stone installed over our brick fireplace and the workman ship is very poor. It's crooked with adhesive smeared on the stone. We called 2 times and we never received a call. I called and explained the quality issues. We were told they called and left a message but none appeared on our cell phones and the the the best they can do is April 26. If not corrected we will take legal actions and against there bond and company. Please use a different company and save your self these issues.

Unethical business practice.
I called to schedule a *free estimate* on an issue with my pellet stove. I was scheduled 2 weeks out and called day-of to make sure I still had a technician coming out, again, confirming my *free estimate*
Guy shows up half an hour later than expected, but I think hey whatever. I confirm with him BEFORE he starts doing any work, that this is indeed a free estimate. He literally wiggled the pellet stove out of the fireplace, and it starts working. He says, "Well I hope you agree to pay me something." My MIL and I were like, oh hey since it's pulled out, we'll shop

ANGIES LIST USERS READ HERE: Do not use this company. This is by far one of the worst companies I have ever worked with in any business. Extremely unethical.
We called them out for a chimney cleaning and inspection as I knew there was repair work that needed to be done on a home we just purchased. We get a quote for $1700, 7 weeks later they show up to work and tell us the price is $3,500. We opted not to have the work done as the excuse we got was the person we paid to clean and inspect couldn’t tell the cost because there was moss on the chimney (which is a bold face lie, I’m on the roof

I made an appointment for Murphy's techs to clean my wood burning fireplace, which has begun smoking. There were to be here at 9:30. About that time, their van went by. My sis, who was here, said they were here. I said, "I saw them. Wonder where they went." They didn't slow down, didn't come back.

Can they not read house numbers? Did they not have phones to call or text, my address on a service request, any sense?

I got my phone to call after a half hour. Maybe they got lost? Coffee? Van accident? I saw that the company had called & left a message: "my techs

The owner Paul lied to me putting in insert in my fireplace said it would put out enough heat to heat up my house not so does only heat up that room that the fireplace is in only don't trust him

I bought a Groupon for $174 that is supposed to cover a fireplace inspection with video scan and cleaning. I called and scheduled the appointment which was easy and they went around my schedule well my appointment was for 3:30pm.
Finally the day of the inspection I get a call at 1:10 from A man named Paul saying they are actually early and wondering if this time is ok to come. I said yes I am home. About 10 minutes later Paul shows up. This wasn't a problem for me.
Now here is where the problems start. He walks in doesn't greet me nicely at all, no smile just comes in and his phone

Murphy's Fireplace / Santiam gutters did work for my mother. Here is her review: I felt there were many issues with the installation of gutters by this company. In my opinion the quality of their work was very poor. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I’m pretty unimpressed. It took three weeks to get an appointment. They rescheduled for another time and I was accommodating. They came and it took them 10 minutes to figure out the issue. Said it would take about an hour and a half to fix it. They couldn’t do it now because it would take too long. Charged me for a full hour and said the 50 minutes remaining would not go toward the next visit. No parts needed to fix it. Just needs to be cleaned. And quoted another $225-$275 of just time on top of the $99 already paid to get it done. Not a great way to do business. Especially when the owner

I had a wonderful experience with Murphy's. Their team did a great job from start to finish installing a full gas insert. What I liked most was the communication from the installer at each step of the way. I'm very happy I decided to go with them over the other businesses in town that I considered.

My wife and I called on Murphy’s to give us a bid to fix our fireplace that stopped working last year.
After paying their $95.00 service fee the technician was here all of 15 mins. He wrote down the parts we would need, and said we would be hearing from him with a bid. If we chose to use them to fix the fireplace that $95.00 would be applied to the whole repair bill. Being a business owner, this was very reasonable.
We paid their fee and waited a few day, after not hearing we called them. We called Paul to see when we could expect that bid? Paul wasn’t available so the gal said she would

I had Murphy's out to bid refacing a fireplace and chimney repair. The estimator mentioned that they do gutters as well. He supposedly matched a competitors bid - he over looked the shop entirely (although it had been discussed the competitor included the shop gutters.) His estimate on the fireplace and chimney was for 4 days of labor - it took his crew 2.5 days but I had no qualms paying as originally bid, they made a killing off the job since the estimator though it would be four days and it was only 2.5 days of labor. They did not want to make it right (by actually matching the competitors

Saw their van driving down the road and took a picture. That's how all good stories start. Actually called hem for a quote and speedy but fair. Went with s regency insert. Although communication was spotty both Henry and Travis were very efficient with the install and chimney repairs. Henry pointed out that the front top of the onset was scuffed. They called in and got a replacement. Unfortunately for Travis who returned the following week with the replacement that part was also damaged. Travis called all over town for a replacement after regency told him to just touch up paint. Seriously
