I've been a property manager in San Diego County since 1988. We found Dils Roofing and Exteriors about 20 years ago when we took over a property that had been using Dils to repair their leaky roofs. Roofs that were improperly installed by the property's developer. They've been our go to roofer ever since.

Our old commercial building ,circa 1952, had been re roofed before but was in need of attention due to leaks in three areas. Most roofing companies would likely have declined to repair it due to its age. Hayden, from Dils Roofing, was very flexible and willing to listen to why we only needed a repair. Just got a new roof from Dils Roofing! The workers were at my house bright and early each day and efficiently and professionally completed the roofing.
They cleaned up around the house at the end of each day and courteously responded to our questions and inquiries. I loved the little magnetic box they used to pickup nails and screws that were on our driveway at the end of each day. I would definitely recommend Dils Roofing to anyone needing a new roof!!!!

Have used Dils since 1985. They are extremely knowledgeable, well versed in various forms of roofing and repairs. Unfortunately, several times, they have had to repair failures in roof design from different developers that lead to significant leaks. Most recently, we had water pouring out of many electrical items (i.e., ceiling speakers, wall outlets, et al). Water and electricity don't mix, so we were anxious to get it addressed. We highly recommend DILS roofing. We obtained proposals from 5 other prominent roofing companies to have our existing lightweight concrete tile removed and replaced with fiberglass shingles, we also had some flat areas reroofed with PVC roll roofing. DILS was very responsive, met all of our project requirements, was in line with other proposals we received, and were easy to work with from start to finish. Change orders for additional repairs were IAW the terms of the contract, and processed in a timely manner. DILS also worked well with our solar installer so the solar installation was seamless

Hayden was amazing to work with from the initial inspection to scheduling to follow-up. Honestly, this is the first company in a long time that called me after the work was done and before the bill arrived to see how the job went and to ask if I had any questions or concerns. Dils was also 15% cheaper than the other two companies that bid the same repair job. Workers showed up on time on the day of the service and completed their work in a timely manner. Best of all, they cleaned up after themselves. I definitely enjoyed my experience with Dils Roofing.

33 Years ago Dils Roofing installed my roof when I had the home built. So when time for a redoing the roof, we hired Dils Roofing again. They were outstanding. Impressed on how they worked on the repair needed and the roof itself. I took pictures daily and posted on our home web site and neighbors commented on how great it looked. They even did extra per wife's request on trim color. We were very happy with them and they are the best.

My parents met in San Diego in 1990 and the only thing still in tact from their marriage is the roofing on their first house, thanks to Dils Roofing!! They are so thorough and I was surprised by how quickly and effective their work was in getting all the leaks and broken shingling taken care of. Ryan is very nice and such a pleasure to work with. I had a terrible experience with King David Remodeling when they hired a subcontractor for installing new roofing on an entire house in the Los Angeles area. After that nightmare job, I was cautious, selective, verified the C-39 license designation roofing and made sure no complaints were filed with the CSLB with any of the contractors that I was getting bids from.

I had used Dil Roofing at my previous home. They did a good job, so when I moved and discovered I have some leaking issues at my new place I called them. They were booked up a few months out, so I knew I would have to wait. I thought about going with another company just to get it done sooner, but since I knew they did good work I decided to waited. It was a long wait, because they had to reschedule me two times. 5 months later I have a new roof. They took longer than expected, but I now have a nice roof. Dils Roofing replaced our roof in 2004. We have had no problems with our roof since then. The installation was expert and the materials superb. We just had our roof inspected to see if we need to replace any tiles and Ryan found no broken tiles. This amazing as we have our skylights cleaned twice a year and we have had our house tented for termites and neither of these caused any damage to our roof tiles.

We had a roof leak in our old beach home and Dils Roofing was recommended by another roofing professional we knew. The waitlist was quite long ~1 month as we were in the middle of frequent storm season. Dils was responsive and stayed in contact throughout the process. They also came out to install a temporary covering to tide us over storm season. The first repair still had a minor issue, so they came out again and fixed it once and for all. They were honest and guaranteed their work. I highly recommend Dils and would use them again for future roof repairs.

Avoid! They had to re-work and patch portions of the roof 3 times. These clowns fell through my roof and ceiling - then they sent a guy to repair the ceiling that made it look like a water balloon. Then a poor guy cut his hand and left blood on my patio, hose, gate, walls - gross. Months and months of burden- avoid! And they left nails and debris in the yard. Thanks for the rubbish in my flower pots, clowns!

We had Dils roofing replace our wooden shingles with concrete tiles and also some flat roof that had developed leaks some years ago, our house has not had a drop of water inside since. They stuck to the scheduled dates and did quality work. That has generally been the exception, rather than the rule, for work I have contracted on our house.
Recently we had our house tented and some tiles were broken in the process. Dils came out and installed them for a very reasonable price. Friendly people, quality work and a local company; I highly recommend them.
