I would recommend C39 for any type of roofing work. I was absolutely delighted with the job they did at my home. They were on time, professional, and all of the work crew were respectful of my house. They cleaned up after each day and did a complete cleanup at the end of the job. I had gotten five bids for the job and C39 was in the middle, but I had a good feeling about them and they met everything I had hoped for. I even had them do a few extras. VERY satisfied with their work.

C/39 Roofing worked closely with me and my schedule. They were professional, timely, very organized and on time. The owner Fidel provided me with our agreed upon repairs far in excess of what I expected while installing my new roof. Considering they had to remove a 42 year old skip sheet moldy, dry rotted cedar shake roof off my house and replace it with new plywood deck, facias, truss joist repairs and shingles, this was not an easy or pleasant job. So pleased with the communication, workmanship, and final product. Bid was complete and presumed I would want a roof that used high quality materials, so no change orders were required, and I never had second thoughts. C39 needed to coordinate with the company who originally installed my solar panels. (In order to maintain my solar warranty, they needed to be the ones to dismantle and then reinstall the panels). Fidel Cruz looks professional and responsive when we were meeting in the first time. However, he will not answer your call and doesn't reply any message after he did his work. The 2 year warrant is a joke. Don't trust his 2 year warrant, he will never response you. Don't pay him until you satisfied his work. His employees working for our roof are independent contractors. Technically, it is illegal! He should change the independent contractor to W-2 per CA Law. Honestly, his independent contractors are more professional than him.

Highly Recommend. Fidel the owner is amazing. Honest and immediate response time. His crew was awesome. They worked hard and cleaned up everything on the job site like it was their own home. Contacted C39 for an estimate. Spencer, Project Manager, followed up several times with me before the appointment. Today, he came on time. After checking, the problem I saw was not an issue. He could have told me something needed to be repaired and he did not. Although no job for him, he was still very professional with smile. I will certainly find him again if there is an issue. We had a roof leak on our flat roof which needed repair. I had several companies quote our roof repair, but Fidel was much more thorough in assessing the issue and his quote was very competitive. He took pictures of the roof to show me the damage and provided several options to leak-proof the roof. He also repaired water-damaged wood and painted and was able to also install rain gutters, which other companies did not do. The job was done quickly and he provided photos of the work done.

It has been over a year with my numerous calls and email, the C39 Roofing and the owner, Fidel Cruz did not fix the damage on my roof that he installed which was still under his warranty. I am collecting supporting document to sue him.
The damage is on the entire back section of the roof and the area before the edges of the roof. The plywood sheathing that he installed before the shingle is installed was not done completely, properly. Scheduled an appointment to have our roof looked at and get an estimate. My appointment was cancelled a few days before after scheduling well in advance and I never was contacted to reschedule. Called and could not leave a message. The phone system was messed up.
Not a good experience from the get go. Home Advisor shouldn't recommend C39.

Pretty disappointed with C39! After having a friend recommend them, I called and setup an appointment. The day of my appointment, they called to reschedule. Not a problem as they had an earlier time available.
Well...new appointment time came and past. I called twice and left a message. No response or call back, and days later, they still haven't reached out. While I certainly hope there wasn't an emergency, the lack of professionalism and common courtesy earns C39 a solid 1 star review.

Fidel came out and quoted on a complete roof replacement (~$30K job). It took weeks and a couple of reminders to get him to submit the actual quote/proposal. After reading the proposal, I had a handful of questions which I emailed him, such as, what the warranty on his work was, how long he anticipated the work would take etc. and he never bothered to respond to the email.
As this work was to be done at a second home we have, it required a round trip to the home to meet Fidel and additional time waiting for him to assess and measure etc. which was all for nothing.

We just had a our roofing job completed by C39 Roofing and could not be more satisfied with the service provided. Fidel and his crew delivered right on schedule, were courteous and professional, and I believe provide an excellent value. Our roofing job was pretty straight-forward, however we received a broad range of quotes to complete the job. Fidel didn't try to turn it into more than was necessary, and took the time to understand what we actually wanted/needed. I would recommend C39 Roofing to anyone in need of roofing repair or replacement work in the San Diego area.

Fidel is fair and honest. His crew were very polite and the whole experience of re-roofing our home was incredibly professional and easy. They did a ton of work on a roof that needed it (it was 41 years old). The roof, 2 solar tubes, drip edge, fascia board replacement, new paint & primer for the boards (perfectly matched for the color of our trim) all done within 6 days. Fidel is a reliable professional who (as he promised) does good work. Fidel owns C39 roofing and clearly cares about his business. The job was priced competitively and Fidel himself was very responsive to questions regarding shingles and all the other options we were considering. It was this responsiveness and professionalism (plus that it is a locally-owned small business with an excellent reputation) that made us go with this roofer rather than competing bids.

I contacted C39 roofing in July 2012 because my neighbors had recently had their roof completed by C39. I also contacted another roofing company to give me a roofing bid as well. Needless to say, C39 was well recommended and their pricing beat the other competitor. C39 showed up on schedule (group of 4 guys) and finished the complete re-roofing of my house on time. Great crew and owner. I would call C39 in a heartbeat if I need and additional roofing work.
